Some good points brought up in this thread. Oakenfold doesn't really get much love nowadays but hey that's life. I've seen him twice, but not back in the late 90's though.

That true for dj-ing oakie was quality, I remember when tiesto was coming up the ranks and he more or less mimic'd oakies sets. During the late 90's/ 2000/2001 oakie was excellent despite how crud his sets can be now. Those essential mixes take the piss.
