Com'on! George Acosta was only popular in the states. Unheard of in Europe. And f*ck his homepage, ed my monitors!!
Lunar Phase 7
I think Junkie XL deserves a mention.

Way Out West and also Sash! ( though his music is, it's a brilliant gateway).

I would also like to mention Push AKA MIKE (aka a million other aliases) when it comes to production in the Trance genre.

as a producer i feel him and oliver lieb when in their prime were pretty much on top
i would add airwave to the list, but he hassent sold out yet or gone downhill really

but yea back in the late 90's early 2000's
m.i.k.e.,airwave and lieb were ahead of their time
PivotTechno
Depends on the genre. As far as Techno goes, Mills, hands down - heard numerous stories of other DJs being afraid of going on after him.

Now he just plays esoteric space music on multiple CDJs while crouching down on the floor. :p

false. Planet Soul - Set U Free was a huge international hit in the 90's. BOOYAH!
Vernon Wanderer
DJ Mikey Mike

Sven Vath's first phase of fame(Eye Q/Harthouse age) takes the cake for me. Not just him, there were great dj's and producers back then (Pascal Feos, T Fenslau(LDC, Abfahrt, Culture Beat, Klangwerk, etc) Dag, even Union Jack), but I see Sven as an icon of the age, simply because he was the biggest.
