LOL those photos are hilarious. Apparantly those reporters wrote an unflattering story about Fox, which lead to that. :stongue:

Still not the same as distorting source material to create a non-existant race-baiting story though. ;)

I'm waiting for something to equal that level.. then I'll budge. But there's been nothing remotely close. So far, it's been about different clips of crowd sizes, unflattering photoshops of 2 NYT reporters who wrote an unflattering story about Fox, lots of claims of racism (although they have more anchors of color than MSNBC, and regularly have Al Sharpton, Juan Williams, and several others as guest contributers)... oh, and a link to their opinion pundit shows not covering as much on Haiti as MSNBC/CNN. None of those examples comes near what MSNBC did, in trying to whip up a race war by creating something from nothing.

Well you wanted examples of s news distorting the news and editing media to a fit a bias. I just gave you two clear examples that they had to apologize for.

here's a racism story though if that's what you really want to admit it:

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/04/27/fox-parody/

They got fannywhipped by the FCC for firstly making the "mistake" then repeatedly reporting it after they had been informed about it.

i find that farrrr worse than that little story you're gripping hard at.

lol yeah, and the case was dismissed because there was no proof of malicious intent with their statements. According to PBS, "it is interesting to note that both of the on-air hosts made statements questioning the accuracy of the story and saying 'I hope we're not being duped,' and 'I thought this was a joke,' and 'I thought this was almost from The Onion. I didn't think that was actually true,'" while the show was on air.

Will you not acknowledge that what MSNBC did was dispicable?

I mean... I don't know dude. What's really worse: a guest on a show making a crack like that (which was ed up and grounds for reprimand, but spontaneous nonetheless), or a news organization's producers intentionally editing to create a story out of nothing to be read on air by an anchor with the goal of igniting racial tensions?

Nobody is defending MSNBC in their actions regarding that issue. Quit beating a dead horse.

exactly, this is not an msncb vs faux news thread...this is now about how ed up faux news is and all the bull they try to pull.

which far outweighs anything any other cable news company has done
plain and simple.

They are indirectly defending MSNBC... because the whole argument keeps turning into, "Yeah well Fox does this! Fox did that!" Sounds a lot like justification to me.

The thread is actually about John Stewart... or at least, it was. When you can substantiate your claim with stats or actual comparitive data that Fox's bias outweighs MSNBC and CNN, I'll listen. Until then, we may as well stop discussing all this stuff because we'll just chase our tails forever.
