i didn't make a new one because i wasn't sure how many people would keep up.
anyhow, it has been a marvelous tournament full of many surprises. namely dolgopolov and kvitova although what li did last night was special. i'm still devastated about the death of the rafa slam and i'm definitely not happy he played through injured. djokovic shutdown federer and i really think he could win this this whole thing although i would like murray to win at least ONE major, i feel like he deserves one. as for the ladies, clijsters announced this will probably be her last australian so now i'm torn, i wanted li na to win but i'm not sure anymore. i just hope for great tennis. |

li na has impressed me with her power the past couple of months. her backhand proved vital against wozniacki in the semifinals.
as for the men's side, this tournament is murray's to lose. no federer. no nadal. he's got to win this one. if so, it's off to the walk of shame like the rest of the british sportsmen.
sorry ian. :D
//edit
oh and nice bump. :o 2010. lol
oh and surprised chimera didn't throw up her hands in anger over venus's early exit in this tournament. sure it was due to injury, but she usually has something to say about venus. :p |

so Ian. if Murray does win, biggest British sports accomplishment since when?
/awaits for Ian to talk about British cricket |

Oh I had a lot to say about Venus but she isn't relevant now. I am disappointed she was foced to retire but that is life. I am so pro Venus because I don't understand why she doesn't have the career slam, physically she has everything but I question her mental toughness at times. I still remember them being interviewed when she was maybe 14 and Richard said they were going to be 1 and 2 which sounded crazy at the time. Venus has more in the tank so I expect at least one more major in her future especially since there is no dominant number one. |

lol Butters
Well, there was the win against Australia in the cricket.... but that's the ECB which is England & Wales, no Scotland or NI so not 'British' :) We did well at the last olympics, exceeded expectations for sure, and we have most of the best snooker players in the world, although China is getting much stronger which is good, and the World No 1 is Aussie too. Rugby world cup final in 2007 for England, and won in 2003, on my birthday no less :p
But yeah, it's a big one for Muzza. He's got to do it now or he'll forever be HenmanV2.0 |
