I just see Leno retiring in a few years and NBC having no veteran to fall back on. Fallon is funny, but not naturally. Conan has always had the ability to turn a dull joke or awkward pause into a funny situation and Fallon strictly goes off notecards.
NBC is too short-term oriented and this will come back to haunt them, as their past decisions have.
Now I need to go get my "TA's for CoCo" shirt made.

The problem with Jimmy Fallon is his delivery. He's a funny writer, a lot of the stuff he comes up with on the show are great. Even the monologue is funny...as long as he's not the one dishing it out. He's extremly awkward and painful to watch.
Anyway, FOX has tempted Conan before but unfortunately their demographic isn't what Conan is looking for imo. They do well with their late night syndicated lineup, realistically I don't see them changing. They've had late night shows in the past that just absolutely bombed. Anyone remember The Keenon Ivory Wayans show? What about The Chevy Chase show? Yikes.

hardly, but with such a gap in late night tv those are forced to choose the old man battle of leno/letterman or pick up from SNL Fallon or go to lopez tonight, I think that's the silver lining here. Granted I'm not promoting Fallon as better then all hosts, he just happens to be slightly in the shadows. if you aren't able to see that, then perhaps those should consider voicing their loyalty to letterman or leno and completely jump off of coco's bandwagon.
frankly speaking, i just don't see leno gaining any nielsen ratings and letterman has been off the grid with conan on the tonight's show. yep, that leaves fallon to come on strong and make a name.
