The problem with Jimmy Fallon is his delivery. He's a funny writer, a lot of the stuff he comes up with on the show are great. Even the monologue is funny...as long as he's not the one dishing it out. He's extremly awkward and painful to watch.
Anyway, FOX has tempted Conan before but unfortunately their demographic isn't what Conan is looking for imo. They do well with their late night syndicated lineup, realistically I don't see them changing. They've had late night shows in the past that just absolutely bombed. Anyone remember The Keenon Ivory Wayans show? What about The Chevy Chase show? Yikes. |
two things
1. bas, cocaine's a helluva drug.
2. FOX insider info ftw. |

Is it true he will have to stay off late night for 6 months until he's allowed to join another network?
I like conan, but it won't effect me that much since i don't stay up to watch late night.
I don't care for Leno but its not his fault, its the stupid network brass who screwed things up. You find this in a lot of big corporations. Upper management who don't know what they're doing, are the ones who make the decisions. |

If you don't think Leno had a hand in this, you're just being horribly naive. |

sucks tho leno is naturally unfunny, he is only funny cuz of the writers he has. take that away, and you got yourself some boris_the_bear humor. |

This is incredibly stupid. They've just lost the current biggest talent in the talk show business.
I know it's mostly the networks decision but I've also lost a lot of respect for Jay Leno. He had a hand in this and could have worked things out better, plus you can see he's sneaky as he put all those clauses in his own contract (remember, he has no agent or manager).
Conan will be fine in the long run but it's stunning how NBC could kill off a franchise like that.
Leno won't get the ratings they want. |

Conan owns Jay, someone will pick him up undoubtedly.
