| Id agree with Rich on this one. I understand peoples desire for a unique taste in music, and holden has that. I saw him at avalon years back and enjoyed it. But it hasnt really done much for me since. And I've dl'd a couple live sets into my ipod and couldn't really get past the first 15 min or so. Its really boring to me, and hasn't evolved in years |

The latest set I have of Holden's is the one from Incognito. So many amazing BC'ish style songs on there that make me feel weak in the knees. I'm sorry if you guys aren't into his style, but seriously, there is no need to bash on Holden when there are people who genuinely love his style.
Rich, like those boring as hell video's you had posted from the Standard are any good (imo of course). euwww BORING! |

Holden is an amazing producer. I still respect him.
His music is influential. Just because he's been idle doesn't mean he sucks.
I agree though he hasn't done much over the years. But he plays some sickie tracks still.
I understand all of you are avid music fans so to you guys it's offensive to the advancement of music that he hasn't brought anything to the table today of what you think music should sound like.
For me, he started it all and enabled me to explore other unique sounds. I'll never forget that.
The IDM/EDM scene is just over saturated now and it's easy to find good tracks. But back then, Holden was way ahead of the scene!

I would say date is a very valid argument. How can someone be "true to the game" if they haven't evolved/pushed the scene any in years?
