| what made you think i discounted EDM ? I've never made such statements. I love alot of EDM and all the newest production techniques stem from it. |

That was RichieV's last post. My guess is he didn't want people to know he had come back to TA after throwing that little tantrum. |

Oooooooooooh. Now that's interesting.
Welcome back dude. Now it makes sense why you weren't admitting who you were:haha: You could have just come back and not been all coy though. I'm pretty sure we'd all understand if you got drunk and had a rant. I thought it was pretty funny actually. |

Why do a lot of us seem to have much distain for commercial popular music?
Yesterday on the BBC, Dizzy Rascal was interviewed. For those that may not know his name, he is very much a pop 'artist' in the UK.
He made the point that whilst his tracks may not be the most intelligent, and the lyrics simple, at the end of the day all he wants is people to be happy cruising along listening to his stuff.
He doesn't equate a commercial sound and simplicity with failure, he measures his own personal version of sucess on the fact he makes a lot of people happy, period.
In a way I feel there is a lot of snobbery around music.
Reminds me of film critics that habitualy dislike anything the masses enjoy, lets say a Hollywood blockbuster, but fall over themsleves with praise for a Costa Rican subtitled black and white movie which no one will watch.
I wonder if we should perhaps appreciate what we might deem more worthy complex music, but also have space for the uber popular commercial stuff in out hearts.
For me, something having wide commercial appeal is just as intrinsically worthwhile and a more undergound trance track. |

| trying to but it only turns out so far, need to learn more. whats your point? the tracks in my sig is 5 - 3 years old and do not represent what im trying to make atm, if that what u where getting at. i seriously dont get your attitude at all. |

| you are the one with the attitude calling milestone musician and artists garbage. I'm just trying to understand why you are so dense. |
