Mcguinty says legalizing mixed martial arts (UFC) is "not a priority" (pg. 3)

Jobs = Priority
Crime = Priority
Poverty = Priority
Education = Priority
Healthcare = Priority

Sports Fad = NOT A PRIORITY

I enjoy the fights too, but if people legitimately think that this should be a priority based on economic stimulus should just give their heads a shake.

Mixed Martial Arts should be seen for what it is - a societal craving for more violence when what's permitted / broadcasted simply isn't enough anymore. This ridiculous "surge" of support for MMA is nothing more than leading people to believe that there's a larger or stronger following than there actually is. Facts are facts, a couple (even a hundred thousand) tourists in town for one weekend bi-annually shouldn't be a logical foundation on which to base an argument calling for a sport to be put ahead of the sick, needy or a taxpayer's ability to earn a living.

MMA will have its time, but under no circumstances should it override other far more important issues. I'm not a McGuinty supporter, but he's dead on.

Its called etiquette. My favorite colour is red. I am entitled to that opinion under free speech. Should I make a thread about it? I also like skittles, how about a thread for that? Now what if everyone did this? This board would be a cluster.

the ufc in ontario is a legitimate topic, your love of red candy is not...

why do you care so much about what the thread is about when you don't have to click on it.

Except he's not expressing HIS opinion, he's copy/pasting someone else's opinion, that supports his political agenda. We know already he's anti Mcguinty, why does he have to post every article on here that propagates this.

can you post me some rules about posting?

Specifically which topics are allowed to be posted here?

If you need help im sure the Castros are available and Chairman Mao can be conjured up in spirit to assist u LOL!!! Complaining about free speech? How appropriate that your favourite colour is red then LOL

I find it so amusing when people try to be the TA police and are actually arrogant enough to tell other people what they are ALLOWED to start threads about..:haha: :haha:

I agree with this, and maybe I'm out of line here, I'm not trying to be an and its very out of character for me to ask/tell people what they can and can't do...

But when I come on TA and I see a new political thread from Jay everyday, about the same thing, day after day, its irritating. He's complaining. About the same thing. Everyday. Surely this can done in a more appropriate place then an EDM forum.

Do you think JayX1 posted this because he thinks UFC is a legitimate topic for TA that warrants discussion? No chance. He posted this because McGuinty is "banning" something else, and that enforces his political agenda.

Lol, if you seriously changed your mind about things because of something some BLATANTLY BIASED said on a message board, then you're ing stupid, imo. Do your own thinking, you goddamn morons.

He had no problem in light of these topics to find the time to ban pitbulls, candy, cigarellos, cellphones, taking away our rights by confiscation without a trial etc..

As for jobs... You do know that this would create jobs and tax revenue especially if these events were held multiple times in a year. $14 million... Ive seen this premier do cartwheels for less.

I certainly wouldn't call someone a moron who is willing to look at both sides of a topic before finalizing their opinion on it.

Lol, right.

I'm not complaining about free speech, don't try and turn this into an infringement on your basic rights.

This is an online community, and as such, we all have a responsibility to keep it manageable and not out of hand. Creating new threads everyday of copy/pasted articles that support one specific political ideal does nothing to benefit the order and manageability of this board. Are you entitled to, absolutely. Should you, no. If it was one a week or sporadic or whatever then so be it, but you've made this into a daily event of trying to convince people of your own beliefs.

Castro and Mao eh......very mature.

It's mostly annoying because he thinks people should listen to him and embrace his vision, when he possesses no qualities of leadership to justify that whatsoever.
