1. Do you think that all sports threads should be moved to the sports forum? no. Fl had a football thread once... but that eventually died and we kept all the talk in our chill out thread.. still to this day.

But if we had an active bull thread like TOTA's and FLTA's.. then maybe someone can post and ask a random question. Its not like it really needed its OWN thread - but I dont think it needed to be closed.
ie. Girls have their own thread in the COR - I wanted to ask which headband I should get - I didn't make a whole new thread.. i posted it in the girls thread :D
3. Do you think that threads about people's birthday parties should be deleted / moved?
No. But instead of promoting it in the main forum - supply a link to the party? I dunno - i didnt read that thread.
But I can't speak - it was my bday 3 weeks ago and in the FL events forum I said heyy guys.. gonna celebrate my bday here- and the turn out was splendid.
Would I make a thread to say - hey party over here? No. Do I mind if it's open under general discussion? No. Guess I need to understand the rules for that one first. It's a new thing so you have to forgive Z if she closed it.. it's a touchy subject cuz its new.
4. Do you think that threads invloving people making suggestions about ways to better NYTA should be deleted / closed? If they are going nowhere - yes. That first thread you made... the decisions were made and so there was no point in keeping it open. New problems arose so a new thread was made :D)
Maybe instead of closing some threads Z should merge them with the random talking thread.
In the end I think #1 and #2 should have been MERGED not locked/closed/moved.

You're acting like we're all being babies about all this. But EVERYONE, including you, agree that there are problems.
So, if we all agree things could be better, why the hell shouldn't we try to make that happen? :conf:

No. I don't even think some should have really been made. If there is a rule about bday party threads - then I totally understand. Utilize the events forum - that's what its for. (I did it for TORONTO early bday party and FLORIDA and it worked out perfectly fine)
Honestly - chill with the new thread button.
I def agree that interviews - no matter who - do not belong in a regional forum. It's sad if you guys can't see this from a non buddy-buddy standpoint.
and I think Z needs to start merging instead of locking. But I am not mod. That way it can shut people up.
My big problem is the interview thing.. the rest - u ppl find problems.. i'm trying to give u a solution from another local sections standpoint.

She has merged many threads.
We did a birthday thread because there are some people on NYTA that are anti fb. Not a big deal. Other forums I am on do birthday threads.
I understood your point before but now you seem to be making it mel's way, not what is good for everyone. There is a difference in having something one way because you are used to it then having it another way because it is beneficial to everyone. If there are multiple threads, it doesn't hurt everyone and the site is not going to spontaneously combust. A thread like the cable thread is random enough to stand.
