It's the films in which he's not quite so Johnny Depp that I find myself enjoying his performances the most, if not the movie itself (From Hell, Secret Window, Donnie Brasco). With a couple of exceptions, his eccentricity almost always looks and feels the same when he inhabits that role (though this may reflect more upon Tim Burton than Depp himself).

I meant 3D animation... ANIMATION. Not 3D view effect, or 3D glasses, or anything like that.

Jesus ing christ, do people instantly ing gob on to a term and totally forget the longer, more well established and commonly held definition of the word? :wtf:

Apparently the Queen is very similar to Queeny from BlackAdder

My only complaint was the extremely predictable plot and overly kid-friendly vibe.
Schadenfreude

kinda normal for an adaptation of a children's book wouldn't you think?

I used to love Tim Burton, but I recently realized I haven't really been into what he has done in quite a while. The last movie I liked of his was Batman.

I am going to see Alice, but I don't have high hopes.

But Tim Burton built his rep on not being normal, and if any script offered him an opportunity to get really creative, it'd be this one. Don't you think?
