I think that Burton's style is his downfall, because he does not stray from his usual. His first movies came off as original because they were a new style. Over the years we have gotten accustomed to the recycling of his style and ideas so it really does not break any new ground...the same can be said of Depp in a vast majority of his movies.
Like i mentioned before, this was not even close to being one of the best movies of the year...but considering all of the praise avatar is getting....i still think this is better.
I don't even like Burton that much. |
