People who listen to a lot of music and read a lot of books

A post in Lira's thread made me wonder...don't people who read a lot of books AND listen to a lot of music ever get sick of it? I mean, doesn't it get draining after a while where you think ", enough!" and just want a break?
JBJ made a similar thread a few months ago about music I do believe.
I'm definitely the kind of person who needs solitude from such things. I feel like too much just clutters my brain after a while, and as though I'm less tuned in to the things I should be tuned into, if that makes sense. |

| the only thing I don't like about books is there are too many pages but on the bright side there are no commercials. |

| No, not really. I read about 50 books last year (that I kept track of) and I actually wish I could read more. I feel terrible when I spend too much time NOT listening to music, though, reason why I now try to listen to some music every single day. |

| Generally I listen to music most of the time I'm not at work. I do have days where I just am not in the mood for it and find getting outdoors in the peace and quiet is really rewarding and good for clearing my head when I'm stressed out. |

I dont get sick of music, and i dont get sick of books. However, I dont read enough, I read maybe 3-5 books a year. very minimal. Actually quite in sad but I also push 2 jobs....when im not at home icing the hell out of a knee and trying to learn to bend it again.
with that last part being said, having all this time off has allowed me to start reading again and has allowed me to pick up old hobbies I once had. I started drawing again, and though I feel my skills have downgraded, I still can rock the out of a pencil.
Music I listen to alot of. I dont get sick of it, however, like jonsun said i have to switch it up. |

I love drawing, always have. I don't do it enough though, certainly not anymore. I should resolve to do some of it tomorrow though.
Vivid, you're truly an inspiration. *sob*
//I go for weeks sometimes without really listening to any music. Not on purpose, just because it kind of disinterests me. Doesn't help that some sucka stole the stereo out of my car like 9 months ago.
Music is really, really seasonal though. Like as spring comes and the air gets warmer, especially at night, it's definitely time for like Deftones (drumzzzz), The Knife, The Cure, Vivaldi, etc. Other music takes other times of the year as well, it's weird for me. |

Haha, fair enough mate :p I was just curious to see what type of stuff you draw. Drawing is a talent I always wished that I had, but alas, I suck pretty badly at it. So, I'm envious :p |
