lol, drop that lineup in MTLTA, this is nothing :p

Only the west forum would be happy with deadhouse and Kraft Dinner ... but you're right, it will be a party for sure. He and Benassi will at least bring the women and crowd...

lol @ people who think they know everything

no one can deny that it's going to be packed in there... deadmau5 is a HUGE draw, and he's proven so in his last guv appearances where there was barely any room to move in the main room lol

There are people everywhere who love to complain, but that doesn't mean other people can't simply state what they do and don't enjoy musically.

anyone else wants to roll their eyes at me?
srsly guys, you are a bunch of whiny biatches sometimes
there will be TONS of other things going on that weekend besides the cruises if those doesn't fit your taste

and totally lol @ know-it-all conga line commentary

all I'm saying is that the world won't end if you don't go to Guv that weekend

that's fine if you don't like boat cruises, but don't placate the fact that both of those Canada Day cruises (Victor Calderone/ Demi & Omid) are ing huge party's (each boat fits 500+ people) and MANY other North American cities would themselves if they ONLY had those 2 options to choose from...(we'll likely have 20+ options for that 4 day weekend)

For anybody wondering why Guv has been consistently falling in the world club rankings, I think this Canada Day line-up can offer some pretty good insight as to why. Guv used to be on the fore-front of music, their all access parties legendary. I don't think your club's reputation carries much clout in the global dj scene when guys like b-nasty are saying "hey, the guv is awesome."

just my opinion. word of mouth travels farther than most think.

im pretty happy with the lineup being as lame as it is tbh ...

it just means i wont be compelled to go anywhere near guv that night which works great for me :haha:

amazing.

To go from what I considered the 'perfect party' to this is beyond disppointing.

exactly, i heard epic stories from people about guv and i saw last years line-up so i figured wat the hell let me book canada day and experience the guv for the first time, now i honestly think i dont even gonna go to the guv that night prob just another party if something else pops up if not go sight seeing or something lol

watever iam lookin foward to the boat party the next day, i heard calderone banged it out in montreal on sunday so iam hopeing for the same on the 1st as well as some good weather :)

I'm not whining as much as it seems... but as an out-of-towner who has been betting on this party for quite some time now, it's pretty disappointing. I don't even hate Benassi and Deadmau5. I've seen Benassi tear the roof off places, and I know Deadmau5 has his sound and crowd. My problem is the rest of (or lack of) a lineup. I'm not talking about the locals, because I know they'll rock it as usual. I'm talking about the lack of more headliners. I am keeping slim hope alive for a surprise or two around the corner. I'm sorry, but I just don't consider one guy from MSTRKRFT a headliner for a party like this. Well, maybe he's a headliner, but not compared to Dubfire, Hawtin, Lawler, who were all in guv last year. I guess I'm most sore about there not being any trance in KH. Kool Haus was great last year with Ferry, Menno, and Cosmic Gate. It was busy, too, and the main room was rammed as well.... and all the other rooms were bumpin. So, I guess I just don't see why they messed with a good thing. I'm not trying to be a know-it-all because I don't pretend to admit to kowing how all the bookings work and who was available.

And, with all that said, I'll most likely be in attendance. And if I am, I will have fun, because that's what its all about ;)

On a sidenote, do you guys think Deadmau5 will fill KH?? That's a big space, and would be interesting to hear his music in front of that kind of crowd.....

Also, as I ramble on... Is there any word about the rest of town that weekend?? I know about the boats, and will be on Demi + Omid, and I know there'll be some beach stuff and so on.. but what about Footwork (other than Pirupa), MoS, VOLA (PLEASE), and so on. This is a really big trip for myself and a friend, and I'm wondering what all will be in store for us if we decide to come.

I'm in still in awe how much of a tragedy it is to some people, wow

last years Canada Day party goes down in my books as one of the most awesome ones, Labor of Love 06 and 07 do as well; I have tons of amazing memories from those events, but guys, there will be other parties, other long weekends and other clubs

this means it's time to start making alternative party plans, that's all

I'm sad that there is NO trance present, but whatevs! :)
