I'd personally blame the 26 year old Tupelov too.
According to my housemate, this is why the UK does not allow all head figures to fly on the same plane incase an incident such as this occurs. |

the f***** irony is that they were going to 70th Anniversary of Katyn massacre, where Soviet NKVD mass murdered ~ 22 thousands of Polish prisoners of war (primarily military officers), intellectuals and now again, in same place many most important people of Polish country died.
The Soviet Union continued to deny the massacres until 1990, when they finally acknowledged it. few days ago Polish media said that there were possibilities to better invesigate Katyn massacre because there were rumours that Russians will give us another documents (and the end they didnt but the relations were getting better and better) and overall it felt like this anniversary really result in something good. Our president (i wasnt a fan of him) fought for the Katyn truth. It's really an irony.
Polish TV says that even during World War II we didnt lose all commanders of armed forces in one day.
The plane was very old, probably it should have been replaced about 10-15 years ago. Instead they were just overhauling it over and over (the last one was, im not sure about it, few weeks ago).
yes, it's a disaster to lose in one day the president (and first lady), all commanders of armed forces, president of polish national bank, chief of national security, candidate for future president and all other. Watching this was like .... I felt like i'm watching sci-fi channel. There are about 60-74 days to elect the new President and at the moment I can't imagine how it will look.
yes, we shouldnt put (almost) all of the most important people into one plane :( |

Bartek I offer my sincere condolences to you and your countrymen. I hope that this misfortune will not bear too great of a strain on your country and it's citizens.
In addition, I hope the new president will appoint you as Chief Executive President and Commander of Interweb Lols. Srsly. |
Thank you. We Poles have a good track record on recovering from bad things happening to us, this will not be an exception.
Thanks to all the well wishers

reminds me of an old Russian proverb:
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me
I'm not sure which is worse to be killed Soviet superiority or incompetence? |

I don't think that's a Russian proverb mate..
Yeah, this seems really stupid to have all your most important people on one plane.
RIP to everyone who died.
Hope Poland recovers quickly from this horrible tragedy :( |
