Well his promoters actually I think are behind this, for "health & safety reasons" but word is that he might have had some say in the matter about glow sticks being "cheesy" etc. Anyone know more about this?

lol i recall reading about how he was advising people to leave their glowsticks at home and such monthssss back

People should be able to do as they please. The only legitimate reason should be safety..people slipping on glowsticks and whatnot I presume..possibly using it to poke someone in the eye if a fight were to break out?

i dont have a problem in say if the promoter or whoever the organiser/venue wanted to ban the glowsticks, the problem i have is that someone like Tiesto said that glow sticks are cheesy and not part of the scene.
-FSP-

Any Tiësto fans hoping to wave their glowsticks like it's 1999 at Gatecrasher, at his upcoming show at Liverpool's Echo Arena (13th March) need to wake up and smell the UV. They've been banned from the concert according to Mixmag, on the grounds that they could be dropped and slipped on and cause injuries.

The decisions follows the star DJ's comments from a couple of years ago during his Elements Of Life tou, when he slated the iconic toys, saying “the scene needs to clean up, so skip those damn glow sticks. They look horrible, and they’re too rave-y”

I think glow sticks should ban Tiesto.

I remember a couple of months ago, the promoter over here was handing out FREE glowsticks at a Tiesto event
