Jay Leno, I don't have to tip. I used to throw it down 10 years ago until i realized the general bar staff in the majority of these clubs is downright awful. There are some exceptions, but for the most part they feel a sense of entitlement. I have a couple of ladies at the Guvernment and a few other places who I frequent and always tip. However at FW, no dice.

and nothing changes over 10 years...right?

Also, I don't think you've met Sara, she's a kick-ass bartender!

BULL

Any club worth its salt should provide free (tap) water to anyone upon request, but especially to someone who's taken on the role of designated driver for the evening - it's just good business.

Same goes for venue (or any business owners) - complaints should be given much closer scrutiny than praise, as someone who has kind words will tell maybe one or two people, but someone who feels they were given poor service will generally tell everyone. Just because some of you didn't have the same experience as polkaudio, doesn't mean what happened to them didn't take place. Personally, I woulnd't be so quick to dismiss the complaints of someone who claims to be a semi-regular attendee.

edit: My bad, I got two posters mixed up. But you get the gist.

His aforementioned issue of "female patrons taking up too much space" will be addressed immediately! lol

How about focusing on the more valid complaints?

How could someone who hasn't tipped a bartender in 10 years complain about service? That also slightly mystifies me...

lol I was being sarcastic...

Hey, I'm from the school of "the customer is always right" and of course the club takes into account every complaint... A lot of patrons in this thread also shared some positive feedback, it's an open discussion isn't it?

Water is an essential income for all House clubs in the city, it is not a cashgrab. Designated drivers are amazing! Thanks for being responsible!

speaking of staff - I come to love the washroom lady :) lol she's cool people!

Jeff was awesome. He told me to listen to him for a bit and actually ended staying until close. Great stuff!

I enjoyed some of the tunes Sean was playing, but I wasn't particularly paying much attention to the set as a whole. Was out to see friends more than I was to hear a good set. However, when Jeff came on that seemed to change a bit. He played a fantastic set. Perhaps Sean wasn't really playing anything, or programming in a way that grabbed the attention of the crowd.

I was definitely surprised with the crowd as well. I feel bad for all the girls that had to deal with that . Bad vibes.
