I don't usually care for discussing things like these at all, but they are just so nice and friendly - I am surprised you haven't noticed lol

Had a blast Saturday. A lot of unexpected guests who really made the night special for me. I was happy to see so many familiar faces when the lights came on after my set, and glad to hear the positive feedback. I don't close often, so when I do it's nice to hear people enjoyed it.
I'll post my set up later this week.
As for the criticism of the staff, I find most of it really hard to believe. I've played some clubs where there were obvious problematic individuals, but never have I witnessed a single incident at Footwork from their staff. I actually think the staff is one of the reasons people make it a regular destination, they make it truly feel like a family affair from management to security and bar staff. |

I don't really care how friendly the bar staff is, I'm there to drink, party with friends and listen to good music, so all that matters to me is the bartender is quick, which most of the time they are at fw. But I've been refused water many times, mainly by the female bartender at the bigger bar, she's also tip hungry. I'm in there to drink all night, and I do tip a buck a drink min, and if I want a glass of water or 2 during the night in between my $7 drinks, I should get one and not be forced to pay another $5 for it. That just pisses me right off and bam there goes their tips (cost of my water). I can't think of ANY other club I go to that won't give you a glass of water. It's an absolutely horrible policy that I would LOVE to see changed. And for all who say guv has terrible service, they are busier and still have no problem getting you a glass of water.
Door man and/or cover girl are also a bit of a joke sometimes, I've had a couple bday parties there where we've got extended guestlist, we get there and they play dumb and try charging us full cover. With 8 people this causes a big mess and pisses everyone off before we've even got in. Only once did we manage to not back down after the cover girl tried charging us full price. We went back out argued for a while and then all of a sudden door man gave us the proper priced tickets, which we should have had in the first place. Not sure if this is the person on the phone at the club bull ting us about guestlist, or the door man. Either way there's a breakdown in customer service and if we're bringing 8-10 people there for a bday party, whats 5-10 off the cover price?? Horrible service to say ya we can do extended list for your party, u show up and they act like they don't know what you're talking about.
Those are my 2 pieces, other than than I generally love the place. |

wow, some of the stories make me feel like we go to a different club!
I've never had a problem with any of the guestlists (for Max Graham, we didn't make it for 11am cut off by like 5 mins and we still got the before 11am list price), the bouncer(s) has been extremely friendly and courteous, the girl accepting the money is also super friendly, the bar staff - no problems either
