Anyway, why aren't they just re-routing passengers through the East? The last time this volcano erupted, it lasted 2 years... they are going to have to send people home at some point, somehow.

Yeah my cousin is stuck in Chicago's Ohare airport right now for 3 days & he is trying to get back home to the UK. British airways announced if the eruption persists they are going to send everyone home by train.
