I almost lost my life there last may, scary horrible night...

Back in March they ripped me off $100 bucks on my credit card...

but.

I met my wife at the club so I cant say I totally hate the place but it definitely has a nasty side to it, I hope that some new venues open up in nyc sooner then later...

Paul van Dyk at Sound Factory way back when was the most packed I have ever seen that building. Definitely not fun to be on the main floor anymore, so I usually only get a bottle with a bunch of friends. Works out to be the same price with admission + lots of drinks at the bar anyway.

When andy moor was there recently i had a LOT of fun. It wasn't crowded at all and me and all of my friends got in for free, even slightly after midnight... all the retards went upstairs to listen to fabulous and the main floor was perfect.
On the other hand, if you go there when the tickets are $60 and benny benassi or david guetta are playing and the place gets overran with guidos then you really have no one to blame but yourself.
It's not a great place but its acceptable if you pick the right night.

True Story!! I went to ATB once at Pacha: I swear I almost lost my life, my temper, and my sanity.  I was home by 2:30am.

Agreed. You need to know which parties to go to there. Otherwise it can just be one big headache...also pay attention to what else is going on in the city that night, if there are other big names spinning, concerts, etc...definitely effects the volume at pacha

Ive been going there since 2007 and have never left a party due to being overcrowded...then again I have a great deal of patience too....and i have also never bought a bottle in that place thats even more of a rip off if you ask me.....the normal is what 350 per bottle per 3 people?? LOL strange numbers they come up with

Also you should expect to have a massive crowd/pushing/long line wait/overpriced everything/ when you go there....cause when its not....its even more better. When we went to markus i was expecting an hour wait on line having to squeeze my way into the dark corner on the far side past a zillion people....but when i got there...no line..walked right in....and had a great spot/view of the booth all night.....made the night all the better

First time I went to a night club in NYC was at Pacha. The bathroom situation shocked me. The bathroom attendant was running back and forth "cleaning" the bathrooms by wiping down the toilets & handing out towels at the same time. And she was handling the door knobs with I guess her "clean hand." That was the most revolting thing I've ever seen.

Looking back on it now, that was hilarious.

Thanks, Pacha, for the memories.

I have been to Pacha at least 25 times, if not more..... and have had a good time always. I have saw Benassi there 2 times, and every time he is spinning, the place get so overcrowded it isnt even fun.... learned to avoid those nights. On other nights, it is a lot more fun, space to room, ect. Never have had a problem with the staff there, I actually enjoy going.

I'd agree with this. I was there for Andy too. and I have been to Pacha countless time.. literally I lost count last year.. and Yeah there are times its like sardine crowded.. worst was when Above and Beyond were there for me.. but still for all it was ok as long as i can get to a place I can see the DJ its cool with me..

So might be right and wrong to say.. If my back is to a post.. I am much content even if it is packed.
I can't say I like the crowdedness. but I think its ok.

Cielo can get really crowded sometimes too

Didn't I read somewhere that you got kicked out recently? Could have sworn that was you.

i dont think ive ever seen anything worse than tiesto at crobar on dec 30th probably 3 years ago i believe it was. 3 or 4 years ago anyways. hundreds of people would have lost their life if a fire had broken out. i waited in line over an hour, walked in, took a 1/2 hour to get back to the main room and u could not move throughout the entire main room. seriously shoulder to shoulder sardine canned in. i left 15 minutes later it was that bad and i came from 5 1/2 hours away.

Kids today...I remember almost getting crushed in the staircase that ran between the 1st and 2nd floors of Exit. Sure we almost fell down the stairs to our death, but we didn't, and when we made it to the actual dancefloor, we had fun with a couple thousand people and didn't care about the inconvenience it took to get there. Same story almost everywhere else at that time too. Sure it was overcrowded, but it was damn fun every single week. Overpacked > empty
