can you imagine the amount of bitching that would happen if you all went to a jp classics party in sound factory...
'omg i almost slipped from all the empty jars on the dance floor'

@twilo back by the exit stairs when the bouncers said..

One time I slipped on a jar in sound factory and fell right into a hole. |

I have been to Pacha at least 25 times, if not more..... and have had a good time always. I have saw Benassi there 2 times, and every time he is spinning, the place get so overcrowded it isnt even fun.... learned to avoid those nights. On other nights, it is a lot more fun, space to room, ect. Never have had a problem with the staff there, I actually enjoy going. |
I actually agree completely. I have only had a bad night there...for ATB last Summer. It was just one of those nights where it was unbearably packed. We literally got in, and walked across the club to the exit. It was just one of those nights that was not meant to be. I have come to accept the fact that certain nights are just going to be too crowded to go and have a good time though. Luckily, those nights usually occur when djs I don't really care about are playing...guys like Guetta and Benassi.
Other than that though, I always have a great time at Pacha.
Not to say people here don't have legit complaints with the place, I'm sure they do. I just never seem to have a bad time when I am there. Then again, I have learned to stay away from the nights that I envision being problems, and go when I know a lot of friends will be in the building. Like, for Eddie Halliwell coming up...i can't imagine it being unbearbly crowded. It wasn't out of control for Markus a couple weeks ago, and he is pretty damn huge in NYC. |

You'll be eating your words in 10 years, you do not have to be a certain age to enjoy our music, the artists who we go to see are usually over the age of 35. |

| The worst crowd I have ever witnessed was Johnny Vicious's Birthday party at the tunnel August 2000. |

perhaps he meant people who don't subscribe to the the idea that when you get old you're not allowed to go out and have fun anymore.
and on the topic... I don't think I've ever seen Pacha toooo horribly crowded. Sometimes the line is super long to go out and smoke a cig... so I go up to pachita and go out that way and just walk down. :)
I'm a big guy but saturday night at Fur when Benassi came to DC... THAT was unbearably packed. So was Guetta and Kaskade.
We're all TA's, we all love to go out just a little more than the next person, or at least we love to analyze it more than the next guy/girl. Either way... if you're on here that probably means you go out enough (or read on here enough) to know what events are going to be cluster s and what events are going to be spacious dance havens.
It's like Zack just said... ATB was overly crowded. duh. Eddie Halliwell wont. And im gonna go ahead and assume most people on here would rather see eddie. and most people who do what they are told will follow the masses and go to ATB or whomever.
i mean... a couple of threads lately... "what club do we go to if we want to get freaky" and "boo hoo the club was too crowded" seem slightly retarded, although maybe im just a prick. not sure. could very well be the latter.
PS are people still coming to Menno? |

Me and my cousins were there for benny benassi. We got there at 12, we got in and it was crowded, not as much as armin at pacha when he first won number 1, but at least that night I was in the main room.
For benny I got stuck upstairs, and people were pushed up against the door, trying to get down. It was kind of bad, but we still managed to have a good time. We made the most of it, and headed up to pachita, and hung out there most of the night. The place cleared up a bit, after 3, and then we headed down stairs.
I have been to pacha countless of times, and I have been there 4 weeks in a row this month, and might make it 5 this friday. Each time me and my cousins go to pacha, we always have fun.
People have to understand, pacha is one of the few good edm clubs left in this city, and they are constantly bringing great acts. It's the only club in the city that can come close to giving you something similar to the types of mega clubs in europe.
The place is made to hold over 2 thousand people, who just want to have fun, and I think they deliver all the time. |

the place does suck but I must admit the last time I was there for the Rebel Rave - was quite awesome. Yes, I was in VIP but the downstairs didn't look too bad and it wasn't even packed at all.
Those nights can be good. But those are few and far between. I'd rather save up money and see the "bigger" dj's at another club or another state cuz on the crowded nights I just - absolutely - can not stand that crowd. It is by far - filled with some of the worst party people.
I could understand every club having a few people who are annoying as - but that club just surpasses anything I have ever seen. |
