| Went to Pacha Friday night got there around 12:30am entered in the floor with the showers. The bouncers were not letting anyone go downstairs and the top floor became congested with people who couldnt move. I was being pushed by all sides and practically wasnt breathing. I was near the vip banister and told some guy to let me climb over because I was being suffocated from people pushing and it was only getting worse. The guy shook his head no and waved his hand and ignored me. I didn't care about what the prick said enjoying his stupid f*****G bottle and climbed over the banister. Immediately after I climbed over I was helping people get over the banister because they were getting crushed up against the wall. I have been to pacha plenty of times and never feared for my well being as well as the other patrons of the club. I told the manager to open the doors to let people out and he responded why would we let them out they want to be here. I had to beg a bouncer to let me out from a side entrance because the crowd was to intense. Shortly after I left I saw the fire department show up. Pacha is ridiculous spent $60 to risk my life and leave in a 10 minute period F**K them I will not be going back to that club even If jesus himself was playing a set. Wtf has the NY scene become can't enjoy a night out with friends. Anyways just wanted to share my story never had such a horrible experience at a club I hope everyone got out safely and wont put up with pacha's disregard for the people who keep its lights on. |

Your story is the reason why many people usually avoid nightclubs: low-lighting, overcrowding, lack of fire exits, etc. To be honest, I don't see the fascination people have being in these human masses were you can barely move (like at any packed concert).
What was the name of that club in Long Island where everyone died in a fire a while ago? They all tried to get out of the one exit in the place and they all got sandwiched in the doorway. |

| thanks for the dumbest reply ive ever read. Cheesy dj or not pacha exceeding their legal occupancy seems to be out of my control. I wouldnt want any normal clubgoer to experience risking being trapped or trampeled no matter which dj was performing. Definately learned my lesson. |

I'd love to meet you out at a party sometimes....but since you don't go out to nightclubs and Electric Zoo is too expensive (and you listed all of the people that I'm looking forward to seeing as the people you didn't know), guess that won't happen. Too bad, you're awesome. Two thumbs up!!! |

haha +1
To the OP, that is one of the many reasons I dislike Pacha. I don't bother with venues like that. I also wouldn't generalize the whole NY based on the Pacha crowd, that crowd is a special breed. |

Dude... My first clubbing experience was Pacha when I first moved up here and I seriously fuking cried.
I thought it was the worst club filled with the worst ppl. I do not go there unless I am guaranteed VIP and I don't buy bottles cuz I don't drink.
Terrible fuking club. Yes, it is. |

| I've only been to Pacha once---and it was for Markus 2 weeks ago. I had a great time...but I think it was luck. I've heard terrible things about that place... |

| i find it so odd that so many of you hate pacha and that this took place. yes im aware that you all go there more than i and i know the place gets packed but i have been there roughly 12-15 times and have never had a bad time with the music, crowd, etc nor has it ever been as packed as was stated originally. i love pacha. |

lol soo hate on pacha. It IS a ty club -- and hell if ppls gotta buy BOTTLES just to enjoy the place, ahha let those fools waste their damn money doing so. I scoff at them lmao. That place *is* a fire hazard. But damns its a last resort place, nycs got no big venues anymore :(
Man I hope things r ok for when Eddie comes to town. :whip: I hate it that the event is at pacha but it is a massive event and I'm glad that we were able to accommodate him somewhere.
Btw what was worth 60$ (at pacha of all places)?? Man I'm really curious. I don't think anything short of a good (multi-dj) lineup is worth that much these days! |
