i was just kidding! the n. koreans gave them a good match. they have to because kim jung-il will have them shot if they don't score. |
Nice!!!
That game was much closer than most anticipated. Dunga is not a happy man right now. North Korea was a difficult opponent to prepare for because the counrty is so secluded from the free world. But its 3 pts Brasil will glady take.
Can't wait to see Spain debut tomorrow. |

True,
But, Spain is not unbeatable remember the 2-0 shocker loss to the US in last years confederations cup.
Dont get me wrong, im no Brasil "homer." I respect and enjoy watching other countries like Spain play. They have awesome players and if their chemestry is on point, they will be tough to beat.
Brasil would be a tough matchup for Spain and vice versa.
Clash of the Titans!!!! |
Yeah that would be pretty god damn sweet :D
As for this:
| quote: | I'm not rooting for either of these teams but another fun fact is that a European team has never won a World Cup not hosted in Europe(northern hemisphere team has never won in southern hemisphere), which might give the edge to Brazil, other than that Brazil is just traditionally great.
Spain looks like UEFA All-Stars team so they should justifiably be favored. But they still need to put it together. Anything can happen. |
Hasn't there only been like, 17 world cups? lol Those stats are whack :p |

I'm rooting for Italy, Holland and Greece like I always do! I'm painfully aware though none of them have a good chance going all the way. Holland is good at keeping its own net clear but they need to get more creative with the scoring opportunities.
Btw, Alan: Check your PM :) |

Sure, it's just something people point out during every world cup. Brazil is the only non-European country to win in Europe, etc. One can argue that we're due for a northern hemisphere team to win in southern hemisphere. Just like any statistics, something to chew on for fun. |

I just thin it's funny. There's only been 7 World Cups hosted outside of Europe, obviously the odds aren't in Europe's favor :p |

that was a good run by USA in the 2nd half against Slovenia. But that was just poor officiating on the part of the referee that cost the USA a win.
FIFA needs to add more referees much like how the NFL does it. |
