She should get a proper smartphone then. One from Nokia lets say. The first onscreen option available after taking a pic is Send via (MMS, email, BT, IR...)
Really i feel sorry for the americans, living in the dark for so long without access to interesting phones before the iphone came out while over here the average user jumped on the smartphone bandwagon way back in 2002 (ahh my dear Nokia 7650, how i miss you) and business users even before that. |

Yeah, she really wants an iPhone, for the average person it's extremely simple to use, no wonder iPhone became so popular.
I'm slightly pissed off, I like at&t but I can never get the droid Incredible or the HTC Evo :( wtf! I can only get the iPhone -___- or the Motorola Backflip which is not bad but not good enough for my upgrade (imho)..
What do you guys think? In comparison to iPhones, I REALLY wanted the droid/htc phones.. but I think I'll be out of luck for a while.. |

| Um, leave AT&T. I'm guessing your parents are paying for it, though. Enjoy your Backfliplolol. |

You pull it out of your pocket and do what exactly? I have a friend that has the HTC HD II which was the considered the best phone HTC had. Well, it wasn't any good. There is almost no market for HTC or the others. They do NOT give you the opportunity to form your mobile phone in conformity to ones needs. Not to mention that the touch-screen is worse than the iPhone. After a while he switched to an HTC Desire which was the same story. Boring, useless OS.
I give it credit that it looks gorgeous. The screen is large with a great design. Both of them
Second of all. What the is up with all the 4G talk? (like the guy that posted before) Are people kiddin me?
Sweden, which is one of the countries with the most advanced broadband in the world, have BARELY inaugurated 4G about six months ago and they don't even provide it everywhere.
Besides, 3G is barely used to its full extent (in Europe at least), so for the upcoming year or so 4G is a pretentious technology that won't be usable. I even heard that in USA AT&T have problems delivering full 3G support to mobile carriers.
I'm no Apple fanboy, because Steve Jobs is full of . But I have to give him credit for making a mobile phone that is accessible, easy to use, easy to convert through the means of apps to how you want it. The design is OK, but nothing more.
My personal belief is that people purchasing these smart-phones primarily do so to get out of the stereotypical apple-trend. |

4G should be in mostly all of the major cities in the US by the end of the year.
3G is fairly perfect here, except for AT&T's problems in SF and NYC.
You might see them as a joke, but they will continue to sell a bunch of them. Which means people do want/use them. |

Get an Android phone if you want to customize and tweak your phone. Much like a PC & Windows, be prepared to do your homework. Get an iPhone if you can't be bothered to tweak stuff and you want a product that's stable and stylish.
Since I'm a raging nerd, I'm using a HTC EVO. |

3G networks useless in Europe? Wow people that are using their mobiles to watch world cup live during work hours over here will sure love to hear that.
And about the claim that HD2 and/or android devices dont give you the ability to customise your phone? For s sake man, which drugs are you on, share some of that you must be accessing alternate dimensions with that ...Android devices are the ultimate customisable devices, HTC WinMo devices a bit less so, but one can do a lot with SenseUI, on the other hand the only thing you can change on the damn iphone is the order in which the icons appear on the screen and thats about it. If thats enough customisation for you, great some poeple are quite satisfied with the limited options apple provides, for everyone else...theres proper phones out there. |

| If (or more likely, when) you jailbreak your iPhone, you can customise it to your heart's content. |
