HTC and android have heaps of phones out at the moment, i'm hoping to get a HTC desire soon, but this one looks sweet as too :)

the other good thing about the androids is that there are a number of differences between the phones, so you can choose your option, rather than with the iphone... 1 choice of hardware, one choice for software... android has a few hardware options, and heaps of software options, each of which you can customise... you can also hack androids and chuck on roms etc if you're a big enough nerd :p

Yeah, she really wants an iPhone, for the average person it's extremely simple to use, no wonder iPhone became so popular.

I'm slightly pissed off, I like at&t but I can never get the droid Incredible or the HTC Evo :( wtf! I can only get the iPhone -___- or the Motorola Backflip which is not bad but not good enough for my upgrade (imho)..

What do you guys think? In comparison to iPhones, I REALLY wanted the droid/htc phones.. but I think I'll be out of luck for a while..

Motorola has a lot of ty phones. The Backflip is one of them. Do not buy.

-The Iphone is not the worst piece of equipment ever made. It has some serious flaws, but it's good for people who aren't tech-savvy and want to be, especially since they can all annoy each other with questions about how to perform basic tasks, since such people tend to congregate.

These are the exact people I have recommended the iPhone to as of late.

htc sucks balls at making video drivers

Yep, that is correct. Everything else they do quite well for the most part.

She should get a proper smartphone then. One from Nokia lets say. The first onscreen option available after taking a pic is Send via (MMS, email, BT, IR...)

Really i feel sorry for the americans, living in the dark for so long without access to interesting phones before the iphone came out while over here the average user jumped on the smartphone bandwagon way back in 2002 (ahh my dear Nokia 7650, how i miss you) and business users even before that.

Because, you know, HTC Sense (TouchFlo) doesn't give that option. :/

WiMax covers 600 million people WORLDWIDE. LTE deployments are already going live for Verizon in the U.S. Albeit not publicly.

The Androids I wanted were not capable of going international, so I had to side with the iPhone for this reason only.

Which ones were they? Must have all been the Sprint or Verizon ones?

Well its nokia im the most familliar with so my first though went to that but i take your point. Today its impossible to not be able to attach a pic to a message no matter who you are. If my grandfather could do it, there is no excuse for anyone else not to.

All of a sudden I got you, a rapper on the net, that knows better than people working with this area. I also stated that I didn't know what the situation in the US was, you inbred ****.

3G networks useless in Europe? Wow people that are using their mobiles to watch world cup live during work hours over here will sure love to hear that.

And about the claim that HD2 and/or android devices dont give you the ability to customise your phone? For s sake man, which drugs are you on, share some of that you must be accessing alternate dimensions with that ...Android devices are the ultimate customisable devices, HTC WinMo devices a bit less so, but one can do a lot with SenseUI, on the other hand the only thing you can change on the damn iphone is the order in which the icons appear on the screen and thats about it. If thats enough customisation for you, great some poeple are quite satisfied with the limited options apple provides, for everyone else...theres proper phones out there.

I'll give you the benfit of the doubt. I'm a med-school student. I need applications that can provide information about diseases, atlases and so on. Can HTC services provide those kind of apps?
