Regarding what else you've written, I suspect you were ironic, but this is actually what my opinion is over real trance. It probably has to do that I'm not port of the first trance-generation, those who are old enough to see the genre's growth since its birth. Heck, I was born '93.
But for being a proper trance track, it's actually quite good.
BTW, why doesn't anyone request A**** to play it on his radio show. If you're many enough and have sufficiently large mouths (figuratively speaking), you can convince him to play it.

I always thought this was one of the weakest tracks on Pylon Pigs. Wouldn't be very interesting trying to get Armin to play it. Funnelweb or Triclops on the other hand might be, but for all I know he's already played it.

Yeah, because that's exactly what I'm suggesting.
This attitude that Berry was a trance pioneer and therefore can do no wrong is exactly the ing problem. Way too much reverence for classic trance just for being classic trance, so the guy can out efforts like this that sound like an out-take from Wildlife On One and everyone goes nuts.
I mean, listen to a track like this and tell me Longhorn isn't a completely lazy, bankrupt effort:

I personally think Persia sucks. It's just boring and bland and not special in any way. Longhorn isn't anything revolutionary either, but IMO it just works. It's not a peak time floorfiller, but not every tune has to be.
I can't see how Longhorn would be any lazier effort than Persia. I'd put them in the same category, based on effort and how they differ from other music etc. I happen to like Longhorn and dislike Persia though, that's why I personally rate Longhorn higher.
