| agreed Emm. Anytime OG was there, it was slammed. OG was space. I don't know what led to him leaving or w/e, but Space lost a lot of its luster. People knew who OG was and most of the time he delivered a fun night. |

I joined the scene a lot later than most TA's i think in 2005. Club Space was the first club I EVER went to, and it was to see PVD and George Acosta in the main room in November 05. It was even 18+ that night because it was a Friday night(how I got in lol), but I remember being it a magical moment in my life. Space was the place back then, awesome bookings and awesome residents. I agree with Em and nfekted, OG was Space, no matter how many ppl may not like his style or W/E he was the best resident I have ever heard at a club and ppl went for him.
IMO Space lost big time in putting the Hip Hop on the first floor, its OK to go to a club to get ed up, we all do it, but it seems more and more ppl just go to Space to do drugs and dont even know who is playing.... |

| well space like other clubs at times in my opinion has just become extremely complacent. LP knows no matter what his club will be packed week in/week out and brings in the same monotonous DJs. im not saying the DJs he brings arent good, because i love them all (boris,calderone, chus n ceballos, roger sanchez, etc), but its always the same rotation and there is never trance anymore and trance sounds in incredible in that main room!! there is absolutely no variety to who space brings anymore like there was years ago. while that club is still in my top 3 of all time and have had nothing but amazing nights/mornings/afternoons at that place, i think a change of ownership will be so good to bring new DJs to such an amazing venue, or older ones who have stopped coming due to bad relations. i just hope the new owner doesnt go changing much about the overall appearance of how it looks, but time will tell. |

| I for one am excited to see what will come of this club...as long as new management sticks with the 3 basic elements of EDM (Trance, Techno, & House)and leaves out hip hop they should be in good shape...also imo they should install a rectractable roof in the terrace instead of the fake sky painted on the ceiling...lol...the terrace was better when it was open :toothless |

the appeal of the terrace is definitely all about the open air. its not the same closed off |

lol they had like 33443 closeing party's already
i remember seeing they were haveing one with eric morillo a few years ago, then the club was back open a few weeks later
i only been to space once and it was during this wmc for pvd
and to be honest i was not blown away by it, i heard sooo many good stories about it but then my friend was showing me the older layout and how it used to look before they made the dancefloor smaller and added all those tables so yea it could have been an epic room
altho the system and terrace were nice |

| the main room used to be so sick looking when you could go upstairs on the mezzanine and look down on the whole crowd on the dancefloor and then they went and closed it off unfortunately |
