For me, it's the happiness achieved in my own life.. more importantly, the happiness I cause in other peoples' - the goal being to have people remember me fondly when I die.
I suspect we might have some differing opinions in the house. Anyone else? |

To be content with where I am and what I'm doing.
To have people care about me enough to be interested in what those may be. |

ALL people, or just the people you actually care about? I would agree if it's the latter, but think it's futile to want anybody and everybody to feel that way. People are going to remember you however they want, and it sort of takes away from their own unique experience to expect that they would see you the way YOU want. A bit boring, isn't it? |

Oh just the people I love and who matter to me. I don't care if the rest remember me in a benevolant light. Or if they remember me at all. |

I would say something similar. I judge my success by my relationships, and I've never had an issue with that - so I know I'm doing it right. I love the people in my life and they love me. :) |

Keeping a smile on my mother's face because only she really knows what I've been through and what it took for me to get where I'm at. Being able to support my father who's been disabled for 6 years and being able to look directly in his eyes and tell him not to thank me , you would've done the same for me. It's all about family for me, the measure of one's success is to treat others as you would want to be treated. To love my sister and 2 brothers because they've been there for me when I was fighting with my demons.
I'm 26 years old and for nine years I'm proud to say I've never collected a unemployment check or asked anyone for a loan. I have constantly pushed myself to move up the corporate ladder as far as work is concerned but not to step on other people to get there. blah blah , I can go on and on, but I'll just leave it at that. |
