i remember being a lot younger and loving discovery and then going backwards and enjoying homework - at the time i thought they were fantastic.
now daft punk have become a symbol to me of the uber-festival-music for the masses-it really doesnt matter what song is playing, as long as we have all heard it before poo like the prodigy and a few others.
so in summation - i used to rate them now i dont |

I think this is complete bull. Good music is good music, no matter how popular it becomes.
I'd saw off my right arm to go back to 2007 and see them do their arena show, I missed them in town while I was on vacation in the States... |

| I don't think that they are overrated, they are more famous because they make more commercial music but i don't think that real EDM fans rate them as high as Way Out West,Hybrid,Faithless etc. |

Popular? Yes. Overrated? No.
The argument against them for popularity really doesn't hold either, because they've been popular since their first album.
It's tough to judge how they are as producers anymore though because we haven't had really anything from them for the last five years (sans the Tron Soundtrack, which is hardly the type of stuff they'd produce for an Album). |

CM - Vegas is a great album. Tweekend only has one good track and its more of a party track (Wild, Sweet and Cool). Everying since then has been disgustingly bad. I'm surprised they can actually exist on the same planet as Daft Punk.
And if you look for the Coachella set from... 07, its actually better than Alive2007. |
