| Such a sad story. I'm just happy I wasn't born into a place like this, but these people have no choice but to live this type of life. :( |

I seen that in a documentary. They were completely out gunned. As you said, they were on cavalry horses and many actually fought with sabres! They had balls. They knew what they were up against but still gave it a go. |
you can't look at germany vs poland in WW2 that way. Germans themselves were fighting on horseback too, and their supply trains were almost exclusively done on horseback as well. The poles fighting from horseback had significant mobility advantages over german tanks, it's not like they were shooting off pea-shooters at modern armor. The modern armor revolution was still in it's infancy during the german invasion of poland. The whole notion of 'blitzkrieg' at that time is a myth. Germany lacked the oil and technological know-how to run a modern war campaign. It wasn't until later on in the war that tanks were used effectively, but the nazi lack of oil brought their war machine to a halt because of some terrible tactical decisions on the part of hitler.
[all of this ripped off from the book "How Hitler Could Have Won World War II by Bevin Alexander"]. Read it, it's pretty interesting to find out how close we all came to losing that conflict. |

ive seen this pic before
although it may be true, i'd say the whole region altogether is controlled by israel but officially the lands today are the same as in the third picture. |

maybe so, but it's a troubling trend, I'm sure most would agree. I'm not going to get involved deeply into this discussion, because it's very heated and I have some very strong opinions. But to me, this progression shows a displacement and persecution of an entire peoples on the same scale as anything seen before. Granted situations like this are not limited to this region, but it doesn't make them any less excusable.
I think we as people outside of the conflict often find ourselves blinded to the reality of the situation for 2 reasons :
1. We have little if any stake in the conflict ourselves
2. During our lifetime, we have only seen the existence of the state of isreal, and the trouble in the region, so we are simply able to say "it's a trouble spot", and write it off.
Human beings can be terribly shortsighted, looking backwards as well as forwards.
So we as outsiders have a choice to make. Stay uninvolved and hope that the region sorts itself out [going on 6000 years and counting!], or to step in an mediate peace. It's too bad that foreign policy from a large number of nations across the globe has become so rigid and inflexible that peace becomes almost a hopeless cause. |

the trend in this picture is obvious, complete elimination of palestine state within our lifetime. The last picture shows mostly israeli settlements in palestine region which are increasing all the time.
the reason i don't get involved is because i have strong opinions about this as well as i have been affected personally by a similar conflict in another part of the world. |

I wonder if you would still say stupid like that if this "little land" was your own land, and please dont say "no one" cares because there are many people that do care so please speak for yourself next time. |

I would say very few people, outside of those directly affected, care about what is going on there. I know I could care less and I'm sure if I was in their position they would care less about my situation.
The only way this will end is if the rest of the world just keeps their noses out of it and let them destroy each other. |

You really sicken me you know that. An Israel soldier could kill your children right infront of you and still you would be pro-Israel.
