| remember people, we don't necessarily have to send our old that we don't want any more. originally this was an outlet to ship liquor, non-perishable local foods, and other cheap-y gifts that people would want. i don't think, for example, that people are going to want your old TV/VCR combo or something like that, lol. |

what the problem is?
I'd make a 'Give-Your-Old--To-A-COR-Whore Thread,' but I think it can be one in the same. |

What do we do if ******** posts here, with interest?
I'm not giving that dude my address, I don't care if he's on a different continent :stongue: |

| yah you raise a good point sushi- but the thing is...i'd rather give ******** my address than jay. i wouldn't mind weird books about homeopathic medicine. i wouldn't read them but it would be fine. on the other hand...a package of human feces just wouldn't agree with me. |

Human feces in hand-knitted cat sweaters: worst gift ever. |

i'm assuming ******** won't participate, and besides, he hasn't been active in TA for a while now. i know this because he hasn't been flooding prod pro with his drivel on a daily basis.
i figure if someone gets another person as their "gift target," but the "target" doesn't feel comfortable giving out their address to the other for whatever personal reason they have, we can just rearrange it so they can send it to someone else. no biggie.
honestly though, i think that any of us who expressed interest in doing this must have expected that personal information such as their address must be shared. all of this communication will be 1-on-1 via pm to ensure that no one but the two individuals involved will be aware of any personal information.
i think everyone involved so far is cool, and is cool with each other though. i don't foresee any issues. and really, if the person is straight up creepy and nobody likes them, we can just tell them to play in the other sandbox. |

updated.
okay, so just so everyone knows what they're getting into, here's a quote from the USPS on what shipping costs would be for a small box to a large box-
small flat-rate box
8.625" x 5.375" x 1.625"
USA - $4.85
Mexico & Canada - $10.88
International - $12.78
medium flat-rate box
11" x 8.5" x 5.5"
USA - $10.20
Mexico & Canada - $25.60
International - $41.28
large flat-rate box
12" x 12" x 5.5"
USA - $13.95
Mexico & Canada - $32.25
International - $53.15
as you can see, the large box isn't even really worth it when compared to the size of the medium box. i personally think the prices are pretty fair; little confections or whatever could easily fit into a small box, shipped anywhere in the world for 10 bucks. |

| Oh also, just so you know. I have a courier address on Miami, so everything you send there gets sent to me in DR. That way you dont have to ship anything internationally |
