none of these parties are legal dude...they pay people off to keep them off their backs, which works 9 times out of 10. this was a high profile weekend as with any other major party holiday.
The wolf + lamb party was actually legal and still got shut down too.
large groups of kids on drugs listening to techno = bad news. |
Sounds a little too conspiracy theory to me.....I'd like to have a convo with T or F about it one day...sounds pretty interesting. I think blkmarket is a little more legit than you give them credit for......I wouldn't be surprised the reason we didn't hear from them until today is because their lawyer wasn't around yesterday to draft something up. |

Dear Friends,
On behalf of Blkmarket Membership, Esthetik & ReSolute, we would like to formally apologize about the unfortunate situation this past Saturday night on Halloween Eve. As you know, our party was shut down and some of our staff was taken in by the police. This was a very difficult moment for us as we put our hearts and souls in to all the events that we produce.
We were not the only event that night that was shut down. As you may have already heard, there were a series of clubs and events which were raided by the same task force. We had to act quickly as we were told to shut down operations and vacate the premises immediately. In the heat of the moment we had to make decisions based on the safety of our staff and the patrons that were already there. After several hours of contemplating what could possibly be done to help our situation it was decided that we combine our party with another event at another location through word of mouth. We did not disclose this information on message boards or emails as we were in fear of the information of the party being found out by the task force again. We are sorry that this whole incident has left a lot of confusion, leaving friends and fans stranded or inconvenienced on one of the biggest nights in the year.
It is always our intention to provide the utmost quality and unparalleled entertainment to all of our guests. We regret that these circumstances prohibited us from carrying out what had promised to be a most memorable evening. We take from this experience and grow from it so that we may have better opportunities in the future. We appreciate the love, understanding, and support from all of our friends and fans who believe in us...we do this for you.
To make up for this past Saturday night's mishap, there are 4 events in which we are excited to share with you. Ticket holders from GET SPOOKY will be granted FREE entrance to either of the following events. Please just bring your printed ticket with you!
Tuesday, November 2nd - Heartthrob – Live, Mara Trax (Miss Fitz & Vera) @ Bar 13 - 35 E. 13th Street - 10pm – 3am
Thursday, November 4th – Kate Simko, Burnski @ The Delancey – 168 Delancey Street – 10pm -4am
Thursday, November 18th – Alexi Delano, Tim Xavier, Tony Rohr, Elon, Insideout – Stay tuned for the full info!
Wednesday, November 24th - Jamie Jones, Rhadoo, Matt John, Adultnapper – Stay tuned for the full info!
Lets come together and unite to make all of these events special, show our strength in numbers, and show that NYC will stay strong! Our spirits will not be broken. |

Yeah it sounds like having a cash entry creates some type of issue. I wonder why some staff was arrested and what specifically for? |

So now only tickets for Richie Hawtin??
And no refunds for Get Spooky 2 huh?
Ok that makes sense...makes it easier to keep our money when this party gets shut down.
I dont understand why they arent refunding all the ticket peopel from saturday -- can someone explain??
Sure theres a risk in doing these parties - when you have a good night, you make loads of money, and when you have a bad night, you take a chance that it blows up on you. but keeping the money from the people who couldnt make it or didnt have any altnerative place to go is stealing i think. and having soem random other party after the fact is not a good option either.
you have a lot to answer to here Resoltue, esthetick and blkmarket! you guys didnt think of the option of what you will do when your party gets busted? |

Did you not read? They're giving you a choice of 4 parties to use your ticket. Quit your bitching and whining. Don't go to parties if you can't handle the issues...even huge festivals like Ultra and EZ don't refund under any circumstances. So you lost $40, STFU already... |

While I wouldn't tell him to STFU lol, I do kind of agree...
I can't really fathom caring that much about $40 to actually try and track it down if a party I went to go shut down. happens. BLKMT seems to be doing everything within reason to make things right though. |
