if you got your flight, i dont understand your post on FB as to which to go to? go to the one you booked your flight for lol.
I hope the dates go back to the end of march, i will finally have the chance to attend in 2012 if that is the case. i'm already thinking that 2012 ultra will move to coincide with wmc and everything will be beginning of march. |

It can always be changed for a $75 fee...I'm not gonna force myself to go on that week if the other week us obviously better. |

It seems like most of the big DJ's are on UMF's side.
I am sure a lot of those DJ's are already booked in early march for other places thinking that WMC will be the normal dates.
Who knows, only time will tell... |

I mean seriously, it only makes sense. Huge dj's are always booked 6+ months in advanced.
What happened last time this happen, did anyone go that year? I hear this has happen before... |

no its never happened before.... though really it wasn't until the last few years that Ultra became this big and makes that big an impact on the bookings, etc.... i've never been (though would have gone this year on Sat but it was sold out)... |

I see.
But then again, who ever goes to the conference anyway? People mainly just go to party, I have never seen anyone wear that lanyard for the actual WMC event other then inside Ultra.
The next few weeks will be interesting, thats for sure. |

right... but some of the djs and others directly involved in the industry do go to some of the panels, etc., so they would potentially have to go 2x in 2 weeks... which is a pain and not worth it.
i think this is a huge fail by the WMC guys... we'll see how it all pans out! |

| Well the issue is that the conference is technically all the pool events and outdoor events. ALL the events are WMC related. Ultra is really the only non-WMC event (though technically it really is as it was the 'closing party'. I would assume all events will be going on at what will now be Ultra Week whereas WMC week might just be technology conference. WTF is up with this. I mean why would they do this? I figured maybe Ultra was the deciding push to move early cause of the park, but that is clearly not the case. So not sure. |

| Because of WMC, don't be shocked to see a lot of big DJs touring around the states between WMC and the weekend of Ultra and the other major parties that'll surely happen in Miami. |

It seems like the WMC this time around is going to be a electronic expo like the one in Vegas. Its at the Miami Beach CC. Hope thats all it is, which will fail miserably, but will not have a pull for artists and therefore wmc for the most of us will be now called Ultra Week.
*EDIT - this still is under Ultra in the WMC website.
A WMC badge includes admission to Ultra Music Festival
