Hey guys im with eurotrancefilla on this one...i believe that he isnt that good (PvD)
i liked his for an angel, and face to face (piano mix) but i have to say that other DJ's like Armin Van Buuren and Dj tiesto produce nicer tunes :) |

For the last time: DJ and Producer is not the same thing!!!
As a dj PVD is ok, but as a producer he sucks. And in no way is he a god or something. He is way overrated. True.

Just take a listen to Paul Van Dyk - Live @ mayday 2000 or Paul Van Dyk - Live @ Rosenmontags 2000...
I'm a DJ My self...I have no ing Idea how can he mix that u can't hear !!! It's not like u mix beat to beat, and let if fade...I read he uses a lot of EQ and stuff, but still, I never heard anybody else (Xept for Oaky) to mix that perfectly !!!
About his Production Skills, I don't think they are progressive, once again I read his interview on Ministry Of Sound, he describes his genre as "Electronic Dance Music"...
I dunno about you guys oppinion, but "For An Angel" was the first Trance song that got me into the scene...

Nothing in this thread is FACT. It's all opinion and you should get that chip off your shoulder before posting like this.
IMO, Van Dyk's studio music isn't very good. But he is one of the best DJs around and continues to impress me and lots of others with his sets. He is one serious bad ass DJ. |
