She is at stage 3B >>>> there is hope!
"Most people with stage III and IV disease will be given the ABVD regimen. With this, 60 to 70 percent of patients will be alive and free of disease at five years. ABVD alone is the treatment of choice for most patients with advanced disease, although Stanford V and BEACOPP, combined with radiation, are reasonable alternatives for some people."

Don Cohan, oldest U.S. Olympic bronze medallist at the age of 42, diagnosed with Stage 4B Hodgkins disease, defeated it twice, and then won a U.S. championship in sailing at the age of 72 :D

as long as she quits the herbal remedies. those tend to be bull and feed off of the desperate. I think what people would like to know is that their donations are going to her getting real treatment in the states! that alkalizing thing has been debunked before.
Ive already donated and got a few others to do so as well. so no matter how they spend the money I personally don't care. I think the money though would be better spent on her getting that treatment in the states, that was talked about on the blog. I think the best thing to do is figure out her options at this point and put the money towards the best one. I have a feeling TA is going to raise quite a bit of money between the parties and the individual efforts, I'd hate to see that money go towards bull treatments. |

| The photos of Jenna on the blog are amazing. Even after losing her hair, she's still smiling as always. What a positive woman. I truly believe that being positive plays a factor in recovery. |

Doctor Vivid
Many people have had success with natural remedies for all kinds of things - intensive, invasive treatment practices are a very north american way of thinking. |

| Sorry to hear about this, she sounds like an amazing person. We're pretty skint at the moment, but I'm sure we can spare a few dollars to help out. |

majority of people dont have success with natural remedies. and for every article you can find justifying an alkaline diet i probably could find twice as many shooting it down.

all I was saying is that some major research should be done to find out her best option and the money should be pooled towards that. I'd hate to see the money go towards a ty option, and jenna pay the repruscussions. The money part doesn't matter to any of us, as much as jenna's health. However, It is alot easier to raise money when you have a concrete plan of action then whne youre just running around frantically asking for money not knowing yet what we need to spend it on.
but awesome on you for trying to troll jenna's thread. Theres a reason why this community always thought of you as a stuck up dyke twat |

Might want to look into the mirror on that one. I understand your skepticism, but you immediately contradicted yourself in your post re. possible remedies by saying you don't care how the money is spent but then putting forth your opinion on just that. It's like saying, "I give this donation unconditionally, but here's what I think." - it's one or the other. How about just accepting and respecting the family's plan/wishes for treatment and leaving it at that? |

The alkaline diet doesn't actually cost anything and I gurantee you the money will be going to exactly what you said. She will need soo much funds to go to the states and therefore that is our goal. We need to find the best doctors and best foundations that can help Jenna and very quickly. The donated money, I am sure, will go to the best option. The best cancer treatments actually call for a wholebody approach which includes diet and natural treatments as well as hardcore drug treatments. In the states all of this costs a lot of money but if there is one person that deserves to be saved, it is Jenna. |

That's what I was thinking, if changing diet won't harm or cost much and may possibly help (alkalaine or not) what's the harm in trying it along with conventional remedies? |
