That video is amazing

People go crazy when free stuff is given away at clubs.

Back in July, Tritonal gave away demo CDs to the crowd at Circus. I was right next to the stage and Dave handed me a CD. Unfortunately the CD slipped out of my hand and onto the ground. I knelt down to pick it up and was almost stampeded by people trying to get their own CDs.

From the website:

Winterfresh Music Festival 2010 Venue Change // December 3rd _
The Winterfresh Music Festival 2010 will NO longer be held at LA Center Studios. We are diligently working on securing a new venue for the show. Please stay tuned to the Winterfresh website for updates and more information.

I wasn't planning on going, but damn.

Doing this to Winterfresh just over 12 hours from the start time might qualify as "being a dick" on the city's part.

EDIT:

Here's a post Fresh made about the event just a few days ago. Honestly, they should have straight up said "If LAPD finds any drugs, they will shut the event down. DO NOT BRING ANY ILLEGAL DRUGS TO THIS EVENT.", instead of just tip-toeing around it like this.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM FRESH ENTERTAINMENT :: PLEASE READ

The organizers of WinterFresh Festival 2010 are very excited for this Saturday's event. A lot of careful preparation has been going on this week to ensure that WinterFresh will be a fun and safe experience that everyone will remember for years to come.

Please understand that a lot has happened this year that has made producing music events in Los Angeles extremely difficult. Los Angeles city officials will be keeping a close eye on WinterFresh, and the conduct and behavior of everyone at this Saturday's festival will be evaluated to determine if they will allow festivals to continue to be attended by guests of all ages in the future.

It's important that everyone who attends WinterFresh enjoys the experience in a safe, responsible manner. Anything less will almost certainly result in more regulations and limitations from the city that can put a damper on the overall experience.

Fresh needs your help. Please do not participate in any unsafe activity that could put you or your friends at risk of getting sick or hurt. If you see other people doing something that could jeopardize the safety of others or themselves talk to them or please alert security personnel so that those individuals can be removed from the event. By doing so you will be helping to protect the festival experience for yourself and your friends so that it will be there for you in the future.

Fresh produces these events to create a musical experience and so that people can enjoy themselves and to spread love and unity.

The message that Fresh wants you and your friends to remember this Saturday is this:

RESPECT THE MUSIC :: RESPECT THE FESTIVAL :: RESPECT YOURSELF

If everyone adheres to this simple yet important idea this Saturday night, then Fresh will be allowed to continue producing what have become some of the most loved all ages dance events in America. Please join us in helping to ensure that this is an experience that can continue to be shared by everyone.

See you on the dancefloor,

Fresh Entertainment

Circus should just open up at noon instead. :)

But I guess 18+ screws up that idea.

ugh...this really sucks since I bought tickets already. Oh well...if it does get cancelled/postponed at least I can go to Circus to see Simon Patterson :)

Per Groovetickets:

"VENUE CHANGE ! HUDSON AND GOTHAM and ASU FOXX PLEASE READ!

On Friday December 3rd at 5pm the L.A. Center Studios breached their location rental contract with the Winterfresh Festival. Their reasoning was unjust and we were forced to not be able to host this event on their property.
We have been working non-stop to find a substitute venue where the artists can perform and we can accommodate all of their fans. It has been difficult, but we have found a solution;

The 2010 Winterfresh Music Festival has been extended to 2 days, both today Saturday December 4th and tomorrow Sunday December 5th. The Event will be split up between 2 venues: the Hudson/Gotham and the ASU Fox Theater, both in San Bernardino. Saturday's events will run from 2pm until 2am and Sundays events will run from 2pm until midnight, ALL AGES. The talent will be divided between the 2 days and between the 2 venues to accommodate as many people as possible. However, some of the talent will only be performing on one day as opposed to the other. "

That's terrible. Sucks they had no other choice. Sucks for them, sucks for the people who care for the music.

I wonder if they'll be able to sell alcohol at the All Ages venue.

lucifer1126
looks like no Simon tonight for me at the Circus...have to drive to Hudson to see Dash Berlin. Glad at least the venue isn't at Simi Valley
Mhubert420
Bye bye Fresh Entertainment it was nice knowing you. THIS is what happens when a promoter gets greedy and tries to throw an ALL AGES event in the middle of the streets in downtown LA. I know Tim personally and feel bad for him, but they ed up TWO TIMES in the past 6 months. Their reputation is RUINED and no body will buy tickets to their events, let alone booking agencies wont let them touch their artists lol.

edit: neither venues have alcohol permits, and to the guy above me, good luck getting in because i heard that the amount of people who are in line already exceeds the venue's capacity.
