Finally got a chance to listening to Oversteps and wow was I blown away. Bloody brilliant and beautiful.

1. Antibreak - Eleven Shades Of Night
2. Autechre - Oversteps
3. The Orb - Metallic Spheres

Also listened to Metallic Spheres. Really enjoyed it as well. Spheres Side especially was great.

Environments 3 was very good, but I need to listen to it again. Only gave it one listen when it came out and can't remember it too well, only that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed Slacker's album, but it didn't seem to revolutionary as albums go, though obviously very different then what he used to make as part of the duo.

On my list to buy, when I get the chance, is the Club Root album. Maybe when I get my tax refund. Probably not before that. Will look into the ASC album as well, since I very much enjoyed the RA podcast from him. Also Music For Real Airports. Heard about half of it and enjoyed it, but need to buy it and give it my full attention. Oh and the Timewave album, though not sure when I'll get that since I can't get a physical copy and iTunes doesn't sell it so I'll pick it up next time I do an order on Beatport or Juno.

Thanks especially to Jack for the recommendations on Antibreak and Autechre. Both fantastic albums :)

Rising Sun is a pretty mediocre album.

i liked 4-5 tracks only but they're good tracks, some of the best uplifters this year:

1.- Menes
2.- Khepera (2009)
3.- Rosaires (2009)
4.- Sangdroper
5.- My Mind is With You

And Rising Sun/ Perfect Red are decent. I don't like the rest but i didn't ordered the album because of this, i just liked separate tracks.

So you just bought a few tracks and yet it's one of the best albums of 2010 in your opinion?

One of the finest piece of music I've been listening to in a long while is the Swedish band Forest. They recently released their debute album called Forest.
Have a listen to this: http://srvc.se/forest/just-one-day

liking 5 tracks from an album is usually a record for me and i like that tracks a lot, i don't like albums because often if there are 10 tracks only 4 are really good material (usually the singles so by the time the album gets to store you are tyred of them) around 2-3 are good tracks but the artist is experimenting with other genres/styles and you possibly don't like it very much... and the rest of the tracks more often than should are just to fill the cd.

In Leon Bolier's album i like almost all the tracks, the album hasn't got really really good tracks but nearly all of them are decent so in this case the full album was worthy to me.

And you are an arrogant, ignorant, music snob!

My fav this year was probably Gareth Emery`s album.

I don't think any of the albums he listed are bad. Especially given I listed two of those artists myself. I just find it hilarious when trancecrackers divide the genre into endless little pockets to try and make their tastes look more diverse. Kay-D and Timewave make almost identical music, to divide one into trance and the other into prog is ludicrous.
