here is why i think this happened:
all of you, as a group, walked in to the club EXPECTING him to play prog. i went there with no expectations and i thought he played great.

That's part of it.. but as much as I hate that kind of tech house I can always dance to it and find some aspects of it that I like. There was nothing I enjoyed about his track selection last night.

On the plus side it wasn't crowded and I had a good time with friends. The little sis stayed later than me, haha.

People are ridiculous. Why would you not expect Fanciulli to play his typical tech sets.

You people need to get of Digweed's and Sasha's nuts.

I've never seen Fanciulli, I'm a fan of his productions, but he also got bad reviews the last time he was in Montreal at Circus.

And since when does Fanciulli play prog?

hm, while I wouldn't say it was bad, I definitely stand by my statement - his FW set was awesomesauce :) last night he kept me dancing for the most part, but by 2.30 I just lost him and it was time to bounce!

Alex had a great time regardless :)

What rock have you been living under? You say you like his productions.. have you not heard his GU's and other comps? Up until this year he's always played a well balanced set consisting of progressive and tech house as well as some funk. Over the years he has slowly ditched the housier elements in his style and unfortunately almost completely now.

And I don't see why the comparison to Sasha and Digweed was made.. completely different styles of prog..

Recently everything I've heard from him is tech house, house and funky house. I wouldn't really call his GU mix prog to be honest. He did sprinkle a few tracks in there, but everything I've heard from him within the last year has been tech house.
