i thought he played great. you guys (ta's) are the only group of people that gave a bad review from the people that ive talked to.

I thought he was amazing! As usual... I'm also surprised to see bad reviews on here because everyone I've talked to thought it was magical as well....:conf:

not my type of style but it was ok. definitely not as good as a BSB concert though.

If one enjoys the typical cookie cutter "Toronto Tech House" sound... then you will have a positive review from last night' performance.

I was not expecting a completely prog filled night at all; a little bit, yes. I do know what Nic plays, and what he has been playing for the past year or so, I've been following him for about 5 1/2 years now. When I saw him in Vancouver in July, how he was playing last night for the first hour and a half was how he played in July for 30 minutes or so of his set. I was going to leave that night as well. Then he turned it around with a proper hard banging set - no cookie cutter sounds. Sounded a lot like that main room Family Day set from 2009.

Maybe he changed it up again last night after I left - and if he did, my bad for not sticking it out. But when I am waiting for over an hour to get that itch to dance all night, for the DJ to get into my head, and into my feet; and it doesn't happen, I'm ready to go home.

He's not Sasha. Wish he was, but he is not. THAT IS ALL.

wow lol, never would've expected him to play that bad...

i could've farted into a mic and it would've been better music, eh?

does that mean if "yolanda be cool" took over the decks it would be a better night?

WOW! I'm checking him out tonight at Boom Boom Room...

Gonna go to the MTL forum to read the Stereo review...

Agreed. I felt the same way about Satoshi when he played fw in May. From what I've seen, these djs need bigger rooms to drop some serious bangers. It's not surprising that Nic dropped a more generic tech house set, considering he was booked at TIL. I remember him dropping a housier set the last time I saw him there. Although, I did enjoy that set. Anyways, I'm glad I didn't go to this.
