Clubs will progressively become more like lounges. Hipsters will continue to move into EDM and create more minimalistic sounds. People that listen to electronic music will be more like the people that listened to psychedelic rock music in the late 60's and 70's. The loss of energy will continue to spread over all of EDM. Basically the scene will become lethargic and non-caring. It will be about distancing from people instead of what it used to be, coming together.
I won't mind cause I'm getting older anyway and it is a perfect direction for a scene where most of its listeners are aging. Only way for their to have energy back in the scene is if the current teenagers embrace it but I dont see that happening.

Speaking from a purely guessing standpoint I'd say there are still plenty of kids that listen to really fast ty music, at least in the Seattle area.
On the other hand these are the type that don't know what they are listening to and will grow out of it in like 3-4 years.

I went to this afghan wedding yesterday and some guy requested the musician to play a hindi song and another guy requested an arab tune.
The guy played some extreamly funky fusion of these styles with a beat that was out of this world. I would definetly hear more of that .
Taking very basic beats and stuff from various geographical parts and mixing them up. Some banging music for sure.

My take on the future:
Tech-house will lose a little bit of popularity (will become more underground) as people will get a bit bored of its generic base.
Hipster music (nudisco/dubstep) will fade away almost completely in the long term as the next generation of clubbers comes about and current fanbase matures (same as for example hardcore or hardstyle). In the medium term might rise in popularity slightly
Trance will continue down the pop/diva/top 40 direction targeting mainstream young female crowd. I would project its popularity would further increase in the mainstream in the medium term
Techno will continue its split between RA sound (more hipster/deeper/ethno/soulful/experimental/bare) and groovy (minimal, progressive and house influenced) techno. Hipster (RA) techno will likely rise in popularity but at a slow pace in the medium term. Groovy modern techno will rise in popularity with faster speed in the medium term. Long term - techno never dies, same as house.
Electro House - original electro is now almost extinct, with currently
popular varieties being either a electro/prog mix or hipster styles. Electro will further mix with hipster styles eg. dubstep/nudisco. Not sure about how its popularity is gonna change.

Guess no, this is not really good to be honest, i like the percussion loop but becomes repetitive and has no groove or melodic content that makes the track interesting. But the oriental voice it's amazing to be honest, they're from India i think, it's cool that producers incorporate some of their culture in their productions from time to time.

Also I'd add "postdub" or "future garage" to that list of new genres.

Footwork is like hip hop but with more edm elements no clue about what kwaito is, in my opinion too many strange styles are appearing, this only contributes to edm disgregation, the crossover with non electronic genres is destroying the scene as a result

Footwork has evolved from juke and ghetto tech and got quite popular this year. Very unorthodox with weird skittering drums and loads of cut up hip hop samples. Loads of people seem to know how to dance to it, though. Mike Paradinas is really on it for Planet Mu as well.
Skweee is another beast entirely. Not really sure how to describe it, but it always struck me as some strange hybrid between hip hop and electro funk a la George Clinton and Zapp. Sure is funky, nonetheless.

Skwee sounds pretty cool, though it's conceptually extremely similar to chiptunes. That footwork stuff was horrific though.
