Talk to the Sheriff about that... you know, the one who ran for office 4 times as a Democrat? His office had known about the kid making death threats to other people since 2007 and didn't flag him appropriately, which would have shown up when he tried to buy a gun. ;) |

p.s.- as a caveat, his best friend was on tv today saying the shooter never listed to talk radio, didn't watch tv, he disliked news, and what poured gas on the fire for him was the conspiracy movie Zeitgeist. |

republic or democrat i dont give a rats ass, the gun laws should be stricter. You already know that i'm fiscally republican. |

but the gun laws being stricter? I don't know... probably stricter enforcement of the laws on the books would be nice. I don't think by any means it should be easy to get one; which part of the law should be stricter in AZ in your opinion? I'm asking honestly, not being sarcastic. |

I believe you need a permit to carry in arizona, but not to purchase, that should be amended.

Palin's right that this has nothing to do with right-wing invective, but she didn't have to preempt the memorial service to say it. I thought that was a pretty tactless move, construing herself as the victim on the day of the memorial.
Obama's line about wanting America to be as good as Christina Green (the 9-year old who died) wanted it to be really got to me. Here's a kid with an interest in public service at that young age who gets caught in the crossfire of someone who clearly needed help. Such a damn shame. |

AZ has one of the most linient laws when it comes to owning a gun. Perhaps stricter checks before purchasing would do ;). Anyone can walk around with a gun, even on federal buildings, I don't know. I'm kinda iffy about that.
