Yeah, I can see your point on that kind of tattoo. I personally don't have a Zodiac sign tattoo but if I did I wouldn't feel that foolish and remove it I liked until the Tropical Zodiac changes...??! assuming they like their stars on the elbows as well :o
Tropic Zodiac as what it is most often used by our Western culture, so Westerners shouldn't conform so easily to Sidereal Zodiac used by the Eastern culture thus covering their tattoos that they may like or that nice big Tribal piece on your shoulder.:o
Hindu astrology, We all know that this astrological system (Vedic) uses one or another version of the sidereal zodiac, the slight differences between them being measured by what is called the ayanamsha, the gap between the tropical and sidereal zodiac. The twelve sidereal-based zodiacal signs (rasis) used in this system are not particularly important overall, and they serve more as a background reference plane for planets than as a matrix for personality distinctions. The houses are important, however, but house boundaries between planets will remain roughly constant in a timed birth chart no matter which zodiac is employed. After reading a number of texts on the subject it became apparent to me that Hindu astrology was a tradition that was not concerned with extracting psychological insights from birth charts, it was more event-oriented.
those are the breaks.

ok so how does this 2009 thing hold any water?
just trying to see where they get this from.
So lets say 2000 years ago they made up the original calender based on how the stars aligned in the month.
now they look back and see that theres about a 30 day difference.
So would that mean 2000/30 = 66 years per day?
So if you were born 66 years ago, you're sign boundary moves 1 day back, etc.
Does this make more sense? I mean the whole theology behind it is bonkers but just to keep the astrology "up to date"

From what I been trying to tell everyone but no one reads my posts. It is happening on the Sidereal Zodiac that the Eastern part of the world goes by but in the Western side of the world we go by Tropical Zodiac ....It's been a debate forever on witch is right but some Western wordily people still believe in the Sidereal Zodiac and this Paul fellow is one of them. I don't think he was found a change in the Tropical Zodiac so basically is which Zodiac you believe in, the weird question is since this has been going on for years why did they blow it up on the Internet on Thursday the 13th of Jan. like they did. Now if he found this Earths wobble to affect the Tropical Zodiac as well as the Sidereal Zodiac then we will have a true fact on both sides of the Zodiac. There are two Zodiacs...Sidereal and Tropical.
Fill free to read my post if you like.
By the way did you watch the Game Over documentary I posted on that IBM vs Jeopardy Thread. |

Ok, that was a very long wall of text, that came to no conclusions. At all.
Basically, you have two "parties" that are arguing about "points" that neither party has any proof of to begin with. The "points" that either party might discuss are based purely on what I will call "magical thinking".
My zodiac is better than your zodiac.
My religion is better than your religion.
the hell off. Not buying any of it for a second.
But I mean that in the nicest possible way. |

If you read what I wrote on one Post, I said it basically boils down to Culture and Traditional ideas depending on what Zodiac you choose to believe in if any. I learnt a lot on researching last night. I was just trying to find out if this was a 100% switch of signs but I found out it only affects one of the Zodiacs. It's like Religion for people, Astrology is the same, it boils down to what makes your perceptive on life comfortable for you. People do what they can to try to make sense of their life, and Astrology is one of those things, I am sure after all the research I did last night that this could be a possible phase (maybe not). We learn from our mistakes and some people actually have to make the mistake in a belief system or something like drinking and driving in order to change. |

Yeah, I know. That's kind of my point :p
It's magical thinking. No proof, just magical thinking.
"This sounds ideal".
Or,
"This hasn't been proved, but it sounds better than the unproven alternative".
Or,
"This makes me feel part of a community, where people like me. I will believe what they believe".
Not buying it. For a second. |
