| I'm pulling for Jeremy Renner to upset Christian Bale for supporting actor. |

| It might be political. I don't think that the Academy likes the fact that Warner Bros. lets Nolan do 90% of the production under a British company rather than an American one. Syncopy is a British production house. |

| "This is a big surprise. I don't agree with the concept of award ceremonies, but I'm prepared to make an exception for the ones I'm nominated for. The last time there was a naked man covered in gold paint in my house, it was me."... Banksy |

| No actors nominated from Inception. That's interesting. |

My sentiments exactly. How can it get nominated for best picture AND best animated picture? |
Wasn't there a lot of controversy last year that Up was nominated for just Best Picture, and basically didn't stand a chance because it was animated? They probably want to give the Toy Story guys the nod of a Best Picture nom and also give them an Oscar to take home. |

| It annoys me that Ive only seen 5/10 of the Best Picture noms. Is it me or are there more and more movies nominated every year? When they all come out in December, its really hard to see them all before they're out of the theaters or before the Oscars. |

I can't stand Bale, but I thought he did a great job. I'm rooting for him just this once.
Heard on NPR that there is widespread surprise at Nolan's lack of nomination for best director. |

toy story 3 was actually REALLY good and i tend to stay away from cartoons. great storyline, great "acting" and obviously fantastic animation; with that said i don't think it should win but i like that it was nominated. i haven't seen all the best picture nominees so can't say which should win but i loved the king's speech.
i do wish james franco could win something though but that's mainly because i'm a huge fan. |
