Steve Angello drives a Ferrari

I know the SHM guys have been around for a while, but I didn't realize that they were THAT loaded.
I just finished watching Take One, which is a documentary about the trio. In one scene, you can see Steve Angello coming out from some store, and asking the valet impatiently "you got the key to my car? its the red Ferrari".
Then he goes on to explain that he owns a Range Rover, an Audi, a Porsche and a Ferrari. And that he loves driving fast in LA.
Do bigtime DJs and producers really make that kinda money? He has to be at least a multi-millionaire to be able to afford that kind of luxury... |

| Some DJs do make that kind of money, but I'm quite sure those were rentals. |

He says he owns the Range Rover, the Audi and that he just bought a new Porsche.
Its possible that the Ferrari was a rental, but the other cars aren't exactly worth pocket change either.
How much do the big guys make anyway? Per gig? Any ideas? |

The number I've heard from several DJs of his pay-grade (PvD, Tiësto, etc...) is $20,000 per gig on average. That varies with each crowd, country and club though.
*shudder* at how much money he has |

Hmm...Tiesto easily pulls over a million per year then. He definitely does 50 gigs a year.
Wonder how much Markus makes. He does what, over 100 gigs per year? An average of 2 per week? He probably does more.
I guess life is pretty sweet at the top. Its true in all fields, but for some reason it seems unreal because I know quite a few DJs who're quite happy with $200 and some free drinks at the end of a long night... |

| Take into account that these guys have tour managers, booking agents and artist managers, so they probably only pull in two thirds of that max. Still is a ton of money considering Steve did 200 gigs a year for two years straight. |

Don't forget all the sales from their productions as well as endorsements, radio shows, labels etc.
Tiestos def banks a couple million per year these days I'm betting.
So too does Armin with Armada, etc. |

Last year the city of LA canceled a planned Tiesto show, and the promoter sued the city. Because of that, some documents were released that showed Tiesto was going to be paid $250,000 for the event.
Granted, it was going to be a huge weekend show at a large venue in a highly populated city, so that's definitely not his normal rate, but still... |

Do they really earn as much as Tiesto and Paul van Dyk? I always thought they would earn more...but after all, SHM is high up the Dj Mag list as well |

| The SHM guys could get a Ferrari each for one weekend worth of gigs. |
