I'm actually considering upgrading from the 800 to the 900. But, I'm thinking instead, just upgrading my Traktor Scratch Pro during the 3 month promo. Hmmmm The fact that it has a soundcard built in is very appealing to me.

from a quality perspective, how does this compare to the 2000? is this the new flagship mixer?

Damn not! Djm 2000 is teh best! And if i had the money i would surely go 4 it!

Even if you were using it with an external, channels 2 & 3 are CD/line as opposed to only channel 1 on the 800. Toggling between DVS and CD input just freed up a channel for me. :D

well the djm2000 is pretty much a 2 man mixer. You don't have enough arms to do it all ;)

this 900 is so dope. I will probably upgrade from my 800! tooo sick

How ing so James???

Is your average general clubber going to say "hey - they've got that new Pioneer Nexus mixer installed down at the (insert club name) LETS GO!!" ?

Nope.

I have yet to see ANY sunbstantial evidence that ANY technological advances have drawn numbers into clubs or bars ANYWHERE.
What happened to a DJ just turning up and just playing and mixing ing music without any of this so called "way forward" ?

This will be great for technophobes who like to make other peoples ears bleed and gullible bedroom DJ's only.

It's just more clever marketing from Pioneer.

It will do nothing for the fact that clubs, pubs and bars are failing to break even all over the place and going out of business.

"Way forward"?
ing up more like.

TRUE in some respect but your average person that goes to the venues will not care or have a clue .. because they are the ones that don't frequent these such forums .
And i can still remember how such people used to boast about getting the latest pioneer or allen heath on some forums .

And with the recent events in japan i can rest assure these new products will not be hitting thr shelves anytime soon

jesus i just wanna see zabiela play with this thing. it's more fun to see his magic fingers flying all over the place than listening or attending his sets (usually very boring imo).
