| Get a gun (not sure what kind is most effective), go to some secluded and warm place where there are decent numbers of carnivores and scavengers, and shoot yourself in the head. The seclusion, temperature, and hungry animals make it less likely that some person will stumble on your rotting corpse before it becomes just a skeleton. One option might be to shoot yourself in a marsh or wetland of some kind -- that way your body could fall below the waterline, but there would still be plenty of animals to snack on it and pare it down to the bones, plus lots of moisture and warmth to encourage bacterial decay. |

| Ha, true. I guess it doesn't really make a difference then, although humidity will speed up the rotting. |

| It depends on what you mean by "best." If you're a serious death aficionado and not just a whiny crybaby, I suggest slow and painful. |

Spontaneous combustion is the way to go. The spontaneousness of it is the tricky part. Combusting one's self may take some practice, but is ultimately achievable.
I think Incubus made a song about it or something... |

My biggest nightmare is to shoot my brain and still survive in some way. I fear the eventual pain/suffering that's way I asked for "the best way". Something CERTAIN and extremly quick.
Tried twice with pastilles, but I'm still here...so I won't try that method again. |

The only "certain" method is to have someone else make sure you actually die. Like paying someone to finish the job if the first bullet doesn't kill you or something.
And even then you would be relying on their will to go through with it. |
