You're right that the rules of the internet are quite simple. Did you read any of the actual reviews? Not a bad one there, but yet you feel the need to chime in with your obligatory "Gareth sucks."

this really bugs you eh. perhaps you're the one who need to develop a thicker skin.

We all know you don't like Gareth Emery. Leave the dead horse alone.
maybe if you ask nicely

Or perhaps you need to develop a filter on what you say. Yes, you have the right to speak your mind on anything you want, but that doesn't mean you should. Americans also have the "right" to purchase AK-47s (without a permit in some states), which we all know is completely justified and necessary.

You already are. Unless you think saying "Gareth Emery sucks" is super exciting for people to read. And I'm opinionated when it comes to you being an idiot. Live with it.

Hasn't*. Thank you for illustrating my point in every post you make, quite eloquently I might add. :haha:

Here is my attempt at a review. I don't generally listen to a lot of trance (although I like j00f) so take it as you want.

The first couple of hours, he played fun, crowd pleasing dance music, putting in songs like Tiesto vs Diplo - c'mon and Deadmau5 - Some Chords, Pendulum - Island pt 1, and other similar electro-y music with melodic components. Fun, party music that got the crowd going. He also has his crowd interaction routines down pat, with his side shuffle while holding his headphones. Basically, an Armin in the making :)

The "concert" portion was a waste for the most part, I don't think the singer was miked. There was a period with the singer and acoustic guitar that was terrible since the sound wasn't set up correctly. So almost like an intermission lol. There was a song played with a live electric guitar solo that was pretty cool.

He shifted into trance mode, which I grew bored of fairly quickly, since the breakdown-every-song style, lots of vocals, stop-go doesn't interest me. He relied on (remixed) classics A LOT. Lethal Industry, Rapture - IIO, Delirium - Silence (with a dubstep breakdown). I'm sure there were more that an experienced trancer would recognize. He played Stranger to Stability which I enjoyed, though it is getting kind of old...

Which leads me to my final thoughts that Gareth is a DJ that does everything the crowd wants (playing songs they already like, quick cookie cutter breakdowns and anthems), but doesn't really take me anywhere new, or take risks that make me say wow.

LMAO! best comment!

from the reviews it seems he would have been better off playing just a set, the concert thing is a good why of making a set 'seem' better i guess

Ya and a good way at allowing the guv to charge 30 dollars. What a joke. On a side note the pat down broads need to learn that a cigar isn't an illegal substance.
