Not really, his point is that cigar smoke is much worse than cigarettes. You like to be buzzed at a pub right? Well do you want to deal with someone SMASHED acting like a tard, knocking stuff over, puking etc? Same deal. Or think of it this way, you'll have trouble finding a decent girl who likes cigar smoke. Do we really need to scare them away and turn these events into even more a sausagefest so 1 guy can huff a cigar for 30 minutes?
And, if the dump owner's employee's BO smells much worse than the garbage, he's probly got a case for telling them to wear some deodorant... =) |

I personally thought he played a solid set - perfect mix of trance and prog, and not TOO many cheesy vocals. WTF was up with his sister singing on stage? Nooo I'd say LoL for Axwell was much more packed. Jeez I'll never forget the heat that room had for that set it was a mainroom = sauna event.
Ya the singing with no trance music was a flop and buzzkill. Singing with Sanctuary was great though... |

And I used to smoke both cigarettes and cigars. Now I find both equally nauseating. |

| I never got around to actually inquiring why the cigar was confiscated. I let it be and made my way in. I would imagine the issue has more to do with whats potentially inside then the smell. Whatever the case, I did retrieve it from the nice box it sat in for 6 hours outside. It will also not be the last time I attempt to bring one inside. |

it would have nothing to do with what potentially could be inside. If that were the case then they would confiscate all open packs of cigarettes. |

If a pack of smokes is open they generally look inside and take a quick peak at the cigs themselves. The papers theyre rolled in are thin, partially translucent, and you would be able to see if they were stuffed with anything odd shaped or non-tobacco colour mostly likely. A cigar you would not be able to see whats inside at all and there would be tons more room to put stuff in there if desired.
Yes there's tons of other ways to hide stuff and there's tons of counter arguments to this. But it's all about minimizing risk, and bottom line is theres not much business for a cigar in a nightclub anyway even if it's legit. Whatever the reasons are I'd say more places would confiscate it than not and remember that clubs make their own rules without having to justify them. If a club says collared shirts required, each guy must bring at least one girl, no pictures allowed or some other rule why bother arguing or complaining about it, it's their rules and if you don't like it don't go. |
