ok, here's some logic. you've repeatedly used the word "if"; "if" the world is going to end. the use of that word is enough to label you an idiot.

Please elaborate... The use of the word "if" makes me an idiot?

Clearly not. But the words surrounding the 'if' make you one.
Take this for example:

Basically, if the world is going to end in 2012, it doesn't mean we will notice any changes by 2011 or even by Nov. 2012, it will all happen within the final days.

That statement is so incredibly retarded that one can only assume you are trolling.

Okay - I'll admit that sentence was a little over the top, however, in theory it does makes some sense.

When an exponential curve reaches a singularity - with time on the x axis and growth (population, resource depletion, etc) on the y axis - then at that point the rate of growth becomes almost instantaneous.

I assume you know what I'm talking about but just in case - the singularity is the part when the curve shoots up into a straight line.

Refer below -

Ooooooooooh. Exponential growth! It all makes sense now.

OK, first of all an exponential curve does not have a singularity at all (as in point of non-continuity or undefined point or whatever). The mere fact that the growth rate increases exponentially as well is - mathematically speaking - just boring and ordianry. It is not called a singularity and it is not "almost instantaneous" and certainly not "a straight line". It's just a big number.
So much for the math. Now the reason why I called you an idiot is that you claimed anything in the real world might behave like that. Doubling every xx years, until with the final doubling the capacity is exceeded. Because in that you completely neglect the nature of the real world process (like population growth) and any regulatory influences.

Oh , I knew this day would come.

We're out of paint chips, guys. We're going to have to start tossing Chinese toys to the pavement just to sustain Taipan.
