TOTA Producers - New Releases Thread -- >Thoughts?

Friends:

What are your thoughts on having a thread wherein TOTA producers post Soundcloud and Beatport links to their new releases for other TOTAs to listen to, comment on, and (hopefully!) purchase?

Here is how I believe the thread should be structured:

-TOTA producers only, i.e., producers who contribute/socialize at least semi-regularly to/on this forum
-Signed productions only, i.e., 1) tracks that are currently available on Beatport or 2) previews (at least two minutes in length) of tunes that are confirmed to hit Beatport within the near future (e.g. one or two months max)
-Soundcloud and Beatport links only; and re: Soundcloud: tunes must be preview-able from within the thread itself
-Each Beatport release can be posted only once
-Each preview of upcoming releases can be posted only once, unless significant edits have been made to the preview
-Unfinished tracks (e.g. "here's a 30sec sample of a track I just started this afternoon), tunes not set to hit Beatport within the near future, productions posted by total newbs who clearly engage in spamming, etc. will not be permitted
-All pertinent release information for each track must be provided, e.g. name of track, name of label, expected release date, etc.

I think such a thread could successfully help TOTA producers promote their tracks and allow others to become more familiar with the former's sounds. Plus, given the kinds of personalities on this board such a thread will clearly offer TOTA producers the opportunity to receive brutally honest feedback.

And (hopefully) by restricting the thread to signed productions only, the quality of the tracks posted will be respectable.

I just listened to your new remix and I'm going to be honest, it sounded a LOT like grind house bro

is there really a need for a production thread when you can have a signature the size of yours :p

Yah Nick..

I like the thread idea but only if you transplant your sig to it and leave it there... here... whatever...

But your tracks are signed and they suck.

a lot of signed productions on beatport are trash. being on beatport does not mean you passed quality control unfortunately as labels strive to sell as much from their label to remain on the site and not get booted off.
mnemonic.

Ouch, you guys are brutal. The guy just wants to give himself and the TOTA regulars a thread to show their new mixes/remixes, nothing wrong with that whether you like his music or not. And if you have any questions or concerns about anyone's work, this would be the perfect place to address it wouldn't it?

I personally like a lot of Nick's stuff, he works hard at it and gets better with every release. Although the signature is a bit excessive! lol
